I love acorn squash and always have, but living in Alaska my whole life, we don't always get very good produce. I moved to Minnesota and bought acorn squash at a pumpkin patch. Oh my goodness, it's a million times better than any acorn squash I ever bought in Alaska! I love it!
My grandma showed me how to make it in a microwave. You put an inch of water in a microwave safe dish. We used a glass cake pan. Then you just microwave it ten minutes, then another 5 minutes at a time until done.
Do you have any good acorn squash recipes? I'm thinking about buying more from the patch here!

Bummer! I love acorn squash and this is the best acorn squash I have ever had! It's so sweet! But I have only ever had it made one way. I'd love to try some new ways

I have never cooked my acorn squash in the microwave before! Therefore, I am going to buy a couple of Acorn squash and give it a try.
My cousin and I told our grandma that we did not like any kind of squash and on thanksgiving my grandma made the best pumpkin pie ever! We all loved it, she inform us that is was not pumpkin but acorn squash and all were surprise. Then she told us that we should never say that we don't like something until we have tried a little bit first, I cooked my Acorn Squash like my mom and grandma did! I cut it in half and clean out the center and Wash it and then I put a couple of pads of butter and a little bit off water in the bottom of my baking dish and I bake it in the oven
