She was such a dear, lovely person and I sure enjoyed her films. All of them. She's been doing them for many years. She was living right here in Boise, Idaho with her grandson and died in her sleep. What a way to go and I hope, when my time comes that I am so lucky. I have included a bio on her for those who didn't know her. I am saddened at her passing but am very thankful that she was sick or anything and am glad I have her movies to see again and again. Thank you Maureen, I enjoyed you so much.
Actress Maureen O'Hara, the Irish beauty who appeared in such classic films as The Quiet Man and How Green Was My Valley, has died.

@simone10 ....I watched her in Hunchback recently. She must of been in her early 20's. What a beauty! And, she seemed to get more beautiful as she aged.

My Mom is very sad today as she too was born in Ireland and Maureen was one of her idols.

Yes, it is. I think we are so lucky to have her long list of work to watch and continue to enjoy. We need to think seriously of giving to the foundation that keeps these old films seeable.

It must have been hard to find her gone in her sleep like that. Her grandson was pretty devoted. They lived here in Boise.
