Are you Eating or Using Your Cellphone?

The food is serve. The girls are excited. Before praying, they are giggling seeing the delicious food on the table. They get their mobile phones and snap a picture of it in different angle. Then they are eager to post the picture to their FB profile to show to the world what they are having now. Instead of eating and talking, they are busy communicating to their friends on Fb and others are sharing the pictures. Are you going to eat or using your cellphone?

This is very common here. When people have dinner in the restaurant, many of them will take a photo for the dishes at first. After that, they will post the photos to their social apps. I seldom do so. But if I make something delicious by myself, usually I will post the recipes to the net. I like to share it with others. Besides, I can make the same again whenever I want if I have an online recipe.

well posting your recipe is good so that other people can cook that but posting food before eating while you are with people I think is abnormal. In my family, we dont do that. We pray and eat. Sometimes, we go to Kenny Rogers with my kids and since it's our favorite food, after we pray we eat. After eating, that's the time I remember to take a picture. hahahaha

It is a terrible habit here in the United States and it irks me to no end. Just put down the phone, enjoy the food, and acknowledge that you are with company. Just my two cents, anyway.

I think that people should not have their cell phone when in company, that is so rude.

Yeah, its rude if you are with someone or with many people and you are discussing important things but if everyone are doing the same, i think you do too.

Far too many people do it, and it is TERRIBLY rude in my opinion. But then at the same time, being rude seems to be in fashion these days.

I see the same situation here. I think it is stupid to do so. Nobody is interested to know what we eat other than ourselves. They do not get to eat the same thing. if they want to enjoy the same meal, they either have to cook or go to the same restaurant.

I seldom take a pictures of any meal only when we have occasions in the house or outside and I don't usually brag anything on Facebook.

That's good but some people do that. As for me, I always forgot to snap our food and post online. I remember doing that after we are full lol

Give thanks and ask for blessing, snap a photo, then dig in. We are bloggers so we can't take those photos. So please do not hate us when we took photos of our food.

hahahahaah whoever hated us is weird. I think doing this is just as normal as eating. It's part of our life nowadays.

I never eat my cellphone. It seems foolish to do so. I know that's not what you meant, but with the way you wrote the title, I couldn't resist the joke. lol. But as for the REAL question, and my real answer, I do not use my cellphone while eating and find it rude when others are in company and do it.
