Baptism and Death Met

Today was supposed to be my friend's happiest. It's the Christening of his adopted daughter, Star. She 's a month old. I went to church at 10:30AM for the Christening. Everyone was wearing white and pink because we were asked to. It was a simple celebration. After the taking of photos, we all proceeded to the reception venue at my friend's house. There are 60 godparents. It was really a star-studded event. After lunch, my former high school friends and I had our talk about the past and went home at around 1PM. I was tired then and fell asleep. I woke up at 4PM and checked my phone. I received a message from my dear friend that his daughter has passed away at 2:30PM. The Star is dead.

Oh dear, what happens? Why so sudden? Has the child been sick all the time and still underwent baptism? I sure feel sad for your friend, even if this is an adopted child.

They told me that she's been sick but I didn't know this worse. I couldn't sleep because of that. I pitied my friend because this year he lost a wife (adultery) and just yesterday a child.
