Everyday i am more determined to quit eating chocolate and then a darn commercial comes on..I guess a bad time to quit with Halloween this weekend
Maybe if i just stock up and then give myself a chocolate a day i will be fine?
Who am i kidding?..I am as bad as addictive can get and i refuse to give into this problem.
Just please don't send me to Chocolate anonymous

Never. I love chocolate and I believe it has good things in it for us.
I love the milk and dark chocolates best.
I just read recently too that it may be helpful in my sons (possible) condition..the dark chocolate only.
I know it is good for depression.

I do eat some chocolate, but I haven't eaten much lately. When I was young girl, I was actually allergic to it and broke out in hives. Imagine being allergic to chocloate, as it was a bad vice when I was younger. As I have got much older, I will eat it sparingly, as I wouldn't want to break out again. I do think though that since it happened when I was a child and I am 67 now, it probably won't affect me, at least I hope not.

@Rosekitty I guess I had them really bad when I was a child, and several years ago, I got the hives, from eating something else, but i can't remember what it was. Boy, did they itch. Basically hives are big welts that you get on your arms and I suppose elsewehre, but i only got them on my arms. They itch so bad, I wanted to peel my skin off.

@Rosekitty Problem solved! It also increases dopamine levels, and contains a chemical I can't pronounce that is a mild stimulant. Mmm. Think I'll have a bite of some dark chocolate right now!

Quit eating chocolate?
No way, not in a million years, not ever! Too late for today - I already had a fun size Snickers bar (stole from my kids' goody bag - shhhhh).
But dark chocolate, at least a little bit of it, is supposed to be good for you.
So why give up a good thing? Well, just don't!

As I stare at you in horror I think give up chocolate? Are you mad? lol. I just keep good quality dark chocolate chips at home, and no other forms of chocoate. It took time, but I can take a serving, which is 16 chips, and walk away. I eat them slowly, one at a time, and usually it works with the cravings. I also use cocoa nibs in a few things, good fiber I believe.

@Rosekitty I like dark chocolate, I just get it in chips because it's 1. cheaper, and 2. easier to portion out. Plus ghirardelli chocolate chips are amazing.

Chocolate is good for you. It contains lots of goodness and remember that it could count as one of your five a day as the bean comes from a plant!
