Do you still communicate with your high school friends?

A friend of mine just got married last month but we're unable to attend because of our busy schedules. Yesterday, we went to see her and she'll be delivering her child on February.
We were high school friends and we do contact each other on our group chat. We'll be meeting again this coming Thursday to visit our other friend. I know it'll be fun.

@meowanji Having friends is an asset. What happens generally is that those who are friends in schools and colleges get settled in towns far away from each other and no longer remain as friends.I am fortunate that I still have my friends in my own hometown and just at a stone's throw from my house. Those who have settled in other towns and cities are also in contact with me and my other friends.

Better than that - my best friend from 3rd grade through high school and beyond. We're in our late 60's and have been friends for lots of years!

Somewhat... I mean there's a "like" and a comment here and there from a few of them. But any real conversation I think is only with one and we do that via messenger otherwise not really. I miss having friends that aren't in this computer but eh that's life in the modern world these days.

Well, we communicate only because we are on Facebook together. And communication just means a comment or a like every now and then on our status or photos - or to wish them a happy birthday. I think once we went to college, most of us went our separate ways - I just think if we were really goods friends, we would have been in better contact with each other rather than hooking up on just FB after all these years.

No, not at all. I moved far away and there was not really much I missed about high school.

I don't miss much about too many people I went to school with either.

If I treat someone is my friend, then he/she will be my friend for a long term. Even if we may not contact to each other often. Such as I have a good friend who we have known each other since high school. I always sent her birthday wishes, holiday greetings.. Sometimes she wrote something in her cycle from the social app, I will leave message to her. But I start to realize that she not only keeps silent and doesn't comment back, but also she doesn't send me the same greetings. Perhaps she doesn't think I am her good friend any more. The time passes by and the people will change. I have to accept it and let it be.

I have a lot of high school friends on Facebook but I graduated in 2008, so it wasn't that long ago.

I graduated high school decades ago and sadly have not renewed ties with most of my buddies. We communicate on facebook once in a while but have not really met. There was an alumni homecoming scheduled which I also missed. I wish I could renew ties with them.

I only keep in touch with one of them in a real way. It's a treasured friendship despite how our lives have changed.

hahaha, yes I do and did one time not just communicating but even more. . . My former high school classmate/sweetheart and I met in Facebook after 25 years of not seeing and communicating with each other. O, heck, a lot of flirting but never gone beyond that. We ended up best of friends only (as both of us are married) . . and lately, she gave me a laptop (I am using it right now) as birthday gift!

@meowanji I have so many friends that I met when I was 9 years old when I moved to a new area with my family. Today, I am 73 years old and I am still in touch with so many of those same people. We will be friends until the day we die.
At 73 years old, we still know how to have fun and we go to dances and have parties and act like we are still teenagers.

I did stay in touch with a few of them for the longest time. We'd even see each other whenever possible. However, since I've had my kids I kind of lost touch. I think we all have really. We all have our own lives. It's a shame, but it's the way life is sometimes.
