Wow! My Insulin Plants are Growing Fast

I had planted this kind of plant few months ago. Now I can see them grow fast and big. It was my sister who gave me the seedlings and instructed me to plant it in our backyard. She said it's a good cure for diabetes.
Presently, my husband, who has type 2 diabetes, already eaten the leaves regularly. According to him, it really helps maintain his blood sugar level.
But not only that, I found out that by eating the leaves helped regulate my hypertension and also cured the cough of my daughter. Seems many illnesses can be cured by this insulin plant.
Do you know this plant?

@SIMPLYD finally, I successfully put the image in my above post. The exact scientific name of the plant is Costus Igneus or known as insulin plant.

Yeah, me, my husband, and even my daughters are eating the leaves raw. My daughters love to eat the leaves. They even dip it in salt.
