Nowadays , the use of plastic bags is increasing day by day, & we all know that it is non-biodegradable,i.e.,it cannot be decomposed by bacteria,So excessive use is causing the soil to loose it's fertility, which results in harm to Mother nature.... so , i raised this topic to invite ur suggestions on how to curb the use of plastic & a better alternative for that...

I had been to Ooty - the hill station in Tamilnadu near coimbatore. There are thousands of placards, bill boards asking people to do away with plastic bags. In fact shops in ooty do not use plastic bags. I am surprised and equally happy to note that there is a people movement against plastic bags. It is really worthy of emulation.

i think poly bags should be strictly banned all over the world.paper bags and cloth made bags "jholas" should be used.its possible becoz when polythene was not invented every body used to use them.as a contribution to it ,i avoid taking polythene from sabjiwalah ,and grocery seller.i use jholas.
