A bit of pretty in everything

We've talked alot lately about mind over matter, making your mind work for you not against you, finding the good, the silver lining in life, etc. Even in the city, there are bits of pretty you just need to find it. So here is today's challenge. I want everyone to take three not so greats, and find good in them today. It could be three not so funs you make fun, or three not so happys that you make happy. Think about how they made you feel turning them around, and then share if you want. Our mind has paths, and as we tread those paths over and over and over again, we make those paths harder and harder to deviate from. Taking control, stepping out of the rut and forcing new paths, over time, can help improve your mindset, mood and enjoyment of life!

I hate my furniture, but when it comes time to clean, I make it seem all new and interesting by gettig The Boy to move it all qaround for me. I hate waiting for my toast to toastm so I empty the dishwasher while waiting and it's a race to get everything put away before the toast pops up. I like to open a lot of tabs with myLot discussions but I hate that it crashes flash and they take so long to load, so I open a slew of them and then go over to my couch and jnit a few rows or watch a short show on TV and when I come back, they are all loaded.

Piece o' cake! 1) An angry cashier. A chance to say something funny and brighten her day. 2) A roadkill squirrel. A chance to contemplate the "circle of life," to quite Lion King. A turkey vulture descends, happy and hungry. 3) Going poop. A bother? Stinky? No, an affirmation that I am alive, and that my body is functioning well.

@Jessicalynnt One must savor the little joys in life. And, as you say, find the good in all.

I hate washing dishes.. I usually do it while cooking so it doesn't seem like an extra chore. I love gardening but don't like to get up from my computer.. so I do gardening in bits while i am online.. Gets me the exercise i need and the work done too. I am not so keen on dusting so I do a bit while sweeping the floors... or when I am on the phone... I always carry a duster.

I find I'm really good at turning a negative around, turning it into a positive after I've given myself a good talking to

Okay, I hate washing dishes after dinner, I put them in the sink with hot water. The morning after, while my coffee is dripping and the bread is toasting I have enough time to wash them and put them in the cabinet. I hate washing windows, I do this in a beautiful day so I can enjoy the beautiful view around me. I hate archiving documents, I have decided that every Thursday afternoon is archiving day, I divide the documents the day before and there are never too many to archive.

Bad weather, haven't been able to enjoy the outdoors for quite some time now. It made me realize how I've taken nice weather for granted. I'd be extra grateful when the weather gets better!

Yep am struggling with just the one! Well the weather is pretty miserable outside, its rainy, grey 'n' oppressive. I guess the only upside is am not outside, and I have enough money to pay for my heating bills which will no doubt be massive this winter. :D

I am not fond of vacuuming, but, I say it is a good stress release seeing those annoying crumbs go bye bye, I am not fond of ironing, but I switch on some music and sing while I iron, any extra tough cleaning I do, I also tell myself it is a free workout. I know we have to work with what we have in life, might as well put a positive spin on it.
