Joking is a natural outcome of any cordial relationship, but not everyone enjoys the same kind of jokes. Especially in this era where people are so easily offended, we have to be careful about the jokes we tell. DIRTY JOKES? No. RACIST JOKES? No. "Walk into a bar" jokes? No. "Yo Mama" jokes? No. The most appropriate jokes for the workplace are corny puns also known as "old man" jokes. For example, "So you want me to do you a favour or a flavour?" "Do you have pets or pests?" "Are you caught in a traffic jam or strawberry jam?"

Yes, sometimes jokes can be a big problem if it contains anything that could offend those around us. Be careful when making jokes is something we should to do.

In this regard, I would use the word "liable". We don't want to have any liabilities, and we also don't want to be liable to others. Thus, we all are looking to protect ourselves vis-a-vis others at the workplace. The best thing, therefore, is to just keep quiet. When we say nothing, we are not liable for anything
