A Walk at the Beach in the Morning

This morning my walking friend and I went on a peaceful walk at the beach. She had been on a cruise this past week ... to Puerto Vallarta and back. They were able to make it to Puerto Vallarta and start home just a couple of days before the hurricane struck.
It was nice to have my walking buddy back and we enjoyed walking in the sand with the waves lapping at our feet, again.
Here's a view of Laguna Beach, where we walk.

I wish everyone had a beautiful place to walk ... a beach, a forest or even a gorgeous park.

I am glad she got back before the hurricane, too. I'm sure the waves could have gotten pretty bad if they had lingered near Puerto Vallarta too long.

I am glad that you get to go once or twice a year. Many people do not even get to go that often.

That's a beautiful beach you have out there. Did you have to drive down there or is it a walking distance? We have several beaches close by but we need to take a ride there. It takes about 30 minutes

We have to drive, but it is only about 10 minutes. We live four miles from the beach. We can't quite see it from our house (there are hills in the way).

Yes, I am sure the hurricane would have spoiled everything! They got out of there just in time!

It is an exceptional beach and, best of all, it is very uncrowded most of the year.

I must have been unclear, sorry @DeborahDiane we have beaches that lack water.

@rebelann - Ha Ha! That makes more sense, then! Guess you have to drive to the Gulf Coast to see water!

I have been through El Paso, and even stayed overnight there, many times. I don't remember any water there at all! What did I miss?

Oh, it was a friend who went to Puerto Vallarta. However, I do get to walk at the beach above almost every day. Very nice.

Yes, it is very quiet and peaceful. It is even fun to watch the few swimmers we get!

The beach reminds of the former beach in Panama that translated means River In The Sea. The beach which is located in San Carlos is now closed since it is now a housing area for the residents.

@Deepizzaguy - That photo is of the main beach in the town of Laguna Beach. I would love to see the beach in Panama, if it looks similar. That would be fabulous!

The nice thing about Laguna Beach is that tourists are only around in July and August. The rest of the year it is just a sleepy little town next to a gorgeous beach.

I know that I am very lucky to live so close to this beautiful beach. Most of the year, there are very few tourists there, too.

@DeborahDiane I agree but it is better when the tide is going our rather than coming in.

Oh, that's interesting! Usually, the sand is fairly solid along the edge of the water. That is my favorite place to walk.
