About a couple of years back,it was my friend who had first told me about Mylot. He had said to me that Mylot was a genuine site that pays regularly.
And then I had joined the site immediately.I still remember how old and experienced members had greeted me then. They had encouraged me by liking and leaving comments under my very first discussions. That day when I switched off my pc,I was feeling much more self confident and happier than what I was a few hours before while joining the site.
Now I love to greet and encourage all those who are joining the site now.Whenever I come across a discussion initiated by a newbie,I never forget to read it,like it and comment on it.
Greeting and encouraging newbies on the site gives me a satisfaction and makes me feel good.
Do you read newbies' discussions and encourage them? What does it make you feel?

Several people have talked about this recently, but you added your experiences as a newbie and I liked that. It try to respond to newer people a couple times a day, giving back the support I was given.

@Jessicalynt,Actually I was overwhelmed when greeted by old, experienced members of this excellent site.Today when someone here reminded me of greeting newbies, the day came alive in my mind and I started this discussion.

I was one of the early birds to myLot. But, I left the site and did not come back for couple of years. I just returned yesterday and trying to learn the changes that had taken place. So, I am not sure whether I should call myself a newbie or oldie here.
Its always good to encourage newbies as it helps the community grow.

@AbbyGreenhill Sometimes you never get a response from a newbie, so getting your perspective helps!

I try to look out for anyone who is new to the site (or is returning after years away), welcome them and point out the important things to read (the Guidelines, the Earnings Program FAQs and also my short guide to using MyLot which includes the answers to some of the more common questions).
