Hi ho, Hi ho..

'Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go!' Most people can recall this song sung by the 7 Dwarfs, of Snow White and Seven Dwarfs. Lets take that dreaded 4 letter word, 'work'. In can be used in many forms or fashion. Depending how one wishes to view it. I myself 'work' very hard to not 'work' at all. Most of the times it really 'pays' off. Now, back to 'work' here. When you go off hi hoing (my own word), what do you think you need to work on? Be it your occupation? A project you started? Or perhaps even something of your inner being? (such as controlling your emotions, etc.) I will admit, besides needing to clean house. (I'm busy now) I need to learn to 'work' on my patience.

I am work in progress .. I am always working on my emotions, thoughts and reactions. I have projects waiting to be done.. and I have truck loads of work to be done.. I am always doing stuff.. Today was one of those days when I decided to take off from work and chill out.

I hear exactly what you are saying. Sometimes it does feel that 'work' is never done. In some shape, or form. I don't blame you, every so often we all need a day like that. I tend to take more of them then most.

@TexanTornado You can afford to since your kids have grown up and gone out into the world.. I need a few more years when I can relax and take more days off.. we all need them.. we would have earned them by then, I guess.

@sofssu Yes, you will soon reach that 'freedom' phase in life too. Where you don't have to constantly be doing this that and the other to make sure everything is to specifications cause they have to be.

I would say that I need to work on my anger. It is very hard to control sometimes, but I am working hard to overcome it. I know that i will be able to, in time. I do need to have more patience when I wait on things to happen. It seems I wait and I wait, and it doesn't happen, but it more than liely does, i just don't know it.. Since I am retired and divorced, I consider anything I do online fun, but in some aspects it is work, as i have to work at it to make what I need to, in order to cashout.

@TexanTornado i certainly need all I can get so i will try to earn wheere i can. I know it isn't much, but hey I will take it. I just build my payapal up until I need it, and then I transfer itto my bank account.

@rosekiss I truly understand. A little of something is better than nothing at all. That is probably the best way to go about it.

I can so relate to you in so many ways in which you stated. I guess my lack of patience can speed up my fuse running short, and lead to anger. Yes, I would have to agree with you, in your circumstances even though doing the online stuff can be fun, it does equal out to work, especially if NEED the payout.

Do you kiss your husband and children with that mouth? Cheeze, that is one word I no longer use, I'm way too busy having fun. Just ask Ally, she'll tell ya, well, kinda

I doubt if anyone really working in a diamond mine goes to work of a morning with such enthusiasm and a cheery song - the dwarfs are seriously mixed up

@TexanTornado they find them easily - no pit collapses - pit dust-lungs or exploding pockets of flammable gas or flooding, etc. They don't even wear pit helmets.

You really don't think so? I don't know, if I knew I could pick free diamonds, I think I would be a bit giddy myself. But that is just me.

@arthurchappell That might be why they so giddy, they don't have to deal with all that, and come out of the mine, with millions.

I need to work on not procrastinating, like putting up laundry, I wait till too late and then it gets put off until the next day

I know what you mean, but it's also work to procrastinate. I mean it's not that easy to just ignore it and go off and do other things. Ok, I tried to make that sounds good, but I failed. I can easily put things off, and not think twice about it. So I'm with you there.

The attitude can be an ongoing thing. The pack doesn't sound like fun at all, and I feel for you there. The housework, well, I try not to do too much of it myself.

I just try to survive each day at work. I really dislike two of my coworkers, and they're the ones I work with most often. The ones that I do like are on the other side of the building so I don't get to see much of them. So each day is just knowing I have to put up with these 2 and try to survive it without losing my cool.

@TexanTornado It's fine when it's busy because they don't talk to me when it's busy, although the guy doesn't like it when it's busy and he starts complaining about every little thing. But when it's slow they talk and that's even worse!

@katsmeow1213 That truly sounds like a miserable time. No matter what you seem to be stuck in a lose-lose situation. Not sure what kind of work you do, but perhaps earplugs would come in handy!?

I guess I need to work on, ahem, all of the above - and then some. But seriously, I need to clean the house too - like massively. And being "here" doesn't help me with that - ha ha - but I'll tell ya the computer chair is super clean! We need our own 7 dwarfs to come clean our houses!

@TexanTornado Oh yes, the keyboard is quite clean - ha ha! I should get off my butt to get my butt on more places to keep this place clean!! But hiring 7 dwarfs would be useful, if we could. Nah, I take that back - 6. I don't know if I want a dopey one to clean the house - ha ha!!

@much2say Well, you could always use it for dusting. Pull a 'Risky Business' move with your bottom, and you have a nice easy way to get all the dusting done. Ok, well you might want 5. You wouldn't want to catch a cold from Sneezey.

I know exactly what you mean.My house isn't getting any cleaner. Ah see, I sit on my love seat, while I type, but both the love seat and the keys on my laptop are quite clean. So Hey, thanks a million, I did get some work done after all. Oh now, you on to something with your logic? Think they have a listing in the yellow pages under ' Dwarfs for hire'?

In years psst I think the only time I liked to sing going to work is when I got to drive almost all the way to the job starting out at the ocean and wishing I was there swimming. I could think about all the beach boys songs flowing through my head when this one happened.
