Has your behavior toward Bubblews changed since they "started paying"?

There was news a week or so ago that Bubblews had paid some of its writers for their 2015 redemptions. Several writers here used to write on Bubblews, and some are nearing the redemption amount of $50. I recommended that those who are nearing that amount do a little fluffy writing over there, so they can "redeem" and have money owing if things come to a head of some sort. I have done one short post over there since the "news" came out, though I already redeemed back in August. If you're member over there, have you gone back and written a post or liked/commented on others' posts? I think I'll continue to post over there every other week or so (at that rate, I'd be able to redeem again by 2025 or so), but most of my activity will be liking and commenting on others' posts to help them get over the $50 mark. Has your behavior toward Bubblews changed at all?

@boiboing Absolutely agree!! My problem with Bubblews was never payments or lack of money. It was just becoming a ghost town and the only pronouncements from the great and glorious Arvind did nothing but bring to mind fires, Roman emperors and stringed instruments.

Since I'm 100 days post redemption and they're ignoring my mails, I'm just offended that they've made a token payment to a few people and left the majority of us to wonder 'why not us'. Most annoyingly some people have been making the kind of comments that imply those who haven't been paid must have broken the rules or done something wrong which makes me even more annoyed than not getting my money.

Bubblews cheerleaders did that from "day one." It was insulting. It was also amusing when the cheerleaders wound up among those wondering why they'd "missed" a payment for no apparent reason. Are there really still people saying that kind of thing? Unbelievable!

@Susan2015 Similar things were said and written last time the site wasn't paying and I'm sorry to say that some people have hypnotised themselves to believe only good of the site management and so can only conceive that people who don't get paid must 'deserve' that problem. Sadly, some of them later find they are the ones not getting paid and come to earth with a big bump.

I try to get in every day, but if I get an error I leave. No time for that. I would like to have one last redemption, but will be surprised if I do this year. Too many errors.

I never had a payment problem...other than reaching the payment amount. I did not like how "management" referred to some who had legitimate gripes. I read the cheery emails "from the top" and I would have said "sanctimonious"...but arrogant works as well. @marlina

I no longer use bubblews for the intended purpose - Instead, I like to drop by and comment on all the posts about how bad the site is. I waste my time there so other people do not have too!
I have lost all respect for the site - they have deleted my account on numerous occasions so I have nothing to loose!

Even they suspended my account for "spam" Ha ha!! And do they consider taking pains to write a quality post, with perhaps a few with inspiration from a news site(and with full source attribution done). I would like to meet Arvind one day in my life and then would ask him why didn't Bubblews remain honest?

While I peak in on Bubblews ever now and again, there's a bit too many bad feelings for me to go back there for too long. Maybe my mood and my mind can change. The glory days were certainly glorious, but with time being at a premium these days, I don't think I can go over there for too long. But you never know, never say never.

I knew I'd be spending less time on there when I decided to return here in early August. But I was/am still there every day anyway and my activities have not changed. The errors and the fact that it's so quiet on there kinda push me to spend less time on there anyway.

I find myself spending more time here and less time there but it has nothing to do with payments. It just seems boring there now compared to here

@TheHorse yes, it seems 99% of those I was friends with there are now here. It doesn't have the same appeal anymore but I do try to post something every few days just to keep my activity going on.

@Marilynda1225 Sounds like our strategies are pretty similar. I do want to support those who still have goals over there. I'm $46 away from redemption, so I'm not worried about "earning" there any more.

My behavior changed a few weeks ago when I decided to quit the site. I've deleted all but my last post and saw my bank decline by several dollars. I decided to quit after I realized that it would take me years to reach redemption at the penny a day I was making. I've lost trust in the site and won't return other than the occasional peek to see if my aunt has written anything.

I don't know how anybody could fully "trust" that site after what they've done. I can't delete my posts, and it's too much work to replace the text of my "better" pieces with "red rum red rum red rum," so I'm just going to "let it go," post now and then, and stay in tough with my friends over there.

I still stay there, but I only post maybe once a day, if that. I might post a little more though, to see if the earnings increase. I'll stay here too because of my Mom.

It would be nice to know how many have not been paid over a period of time giving an indication where Bubblews stands today. The rate at which the bank grows there is little hope I will ever get to 50 from 36.

@TheHorse I did go there some time back but I did not get any views nor likes - seems my connections have disappeared from the scene.

even if they ramp up their posting, they will need others to visit their posts, but how many are left for them to interact with? if they mix that with informative posts, will the outside views help? if yes, how much?

@TheHorse and how do we know how long this 'paying again' phase will last?

They only paid a few members, possibly those that they know wrote a lot in the past about redemption to spread the word that they are paying again. Anyway I do not care to go back there, I receive 8 error messages every 10 pages I try to open. It's a waste of time.

@TheHorse When they stopped paying for the payments they lost from June/July period a few years back,. I had a response saying I would get paid then they decided they wouldn't pay anything back before oct. That's when I said bye...left with money in the bank. I lost about $400 there.

I went over there two days ago and noticed a bunch of cheaters and thieves. I did a post mentioning the creapy posters (I think there were 10 or more) I mentioned what they were doing but I did not name them or leave links, I had flagged them all. I had a lot of comments on the post and then poof it was no longer on the front page. Elaine had been there obviously because the bad guys/gals were gone and I asked her why my post was taken off the home page. No response. I redeemed in Jan/Feb and it will be at least 2 years before I reach $50. I won't be there and I don't think they will be there either... It feels like the end of the site.

@TheHorse I feel sorry for Elaine. I 've always liked her and still do but she has faith in the company and I just don't understand how she does that, I don't the bosses give a damn about the site. I heard rumors that that thing - the sweeble or what ever they call it does not belong to them. There was something on line about a law suit.
