New to MyLot, Not to blogging

Hello there!
My name is Ryan and I am new to this site, but not to online blogging. I was a member over on Bubblews for a while, and before that I was a part of Gather. So i have a feeling i will find plenty of old friends here on Mylot.
For those of you who know me already, long time no see! For those of you who dont, here's a quick introduction.
I am a married father of 3. My son, Noah, is 4 years old this month and lives with Cerebral palsy. I will likely write a lot about him. My twin daughters, Adelaide and Genevieve, are 10 months old now and growing like weeds. I work in construction and love to garden. I also like to run, brew beer and wine, and many other things.
I hope i can make lots of new friends here on mylot and look forward to learning a lot from everyone, and hopefully i can help someone else learn a thing or two along the way.
So, that's me in a nutshell. Any advice for a newbie on Mylot?

Hi, Ryan, I could not remember if you had ever been a member here or not. You will enjoy it. Make lots of friends, respond to people who comment on your posts. HAVE FUN !

i am glad to see you here. First of all let me say to you that earnings from here not super effective like old bubblews. You can earn cents from a hour. But it is really effective. Just socialize with others as the pay rate in here is still not mentioned by the admin. If you have any doubt message me @rahulvsmokiee or at the admin @GoAskAlice

Thanks for the info, I was wondering how the pay stacked up. But really I'm just looking for a simple platform to blog these days. I have a feeling the days of making any real money from personal blogs are pretty much dust in the wind. But i'll never give up!

You'll find the basic 'essential' information under "Help" next to your username and avatar at the top left of the page. You should read both the Community Guidelines (a.k.a. 'Rules') and the Earnings Program FAQs.

Hello and welcome to Mylot.. It was nice to read a little about you. Twins huh? Seems you have double the pleasure there.
The key to things within the mylot walls is simply, 'Interacion'. So with that said, I hope you have fun, make lots of friends, and do a lot of mingling.

Welcome to myLot, Ryan!
The first piece of advice that I'd give you is to take a look at the Help page, if you haven't already done so. It's located to the right of your avatar image and has links to important documents that explain how myLot works.
The real advice I'd give, though, is to have fun. Find discussions that interest you by using the Explore tab and the links on the sidebar there (Most Recent, Top, etc.). Once you're following a few people, you can use the People tab to keep up with their activity. The links on the sidebar there will let you narrow it down to discussions, comments, or responses if you don't want to see everything. (ETA: the Follow link is on every user's profile page.)
There are a lot of us who have been here for years, so if you have any specific questions please don't hesitate to ask!

Welcome aboard. Advice: Do lots of commenting on others posts, especially comments that might elicit responses. At this site, were rewarded (both emotionally and financially) by others' responses to what we write, not what we write. That includes comments on others' posts.

I was on bubblews as well. It really is a dying site. They changed the entire platform so people would make less instead of more. I like this place so far. It's fun and people are really active.
