If technology could make it possible for you to talk to your loved ones who have passed on would you grab it? Would you talk to the dead or let them rest in peace? What would you say to them? What would you like to hear from them?

I am sure I would be very wary of any such technology, and I would probably stay away from it.

@Rollo1 That is very much like the way I would think. I am wary of any tall claims especially into the unknown realms.

As nice as it might sound, my answer would be 'NO'! To me it wouldn't be any different then the Ouija board or holding a seance. Somethings are better left alone. Like the saying goes, 'Let sleeping dogs lie'. To me, the dearly departed should be left in peace.

@TexanTornado That is so true sweetie.. I would let them rest in peace. They have had their share.. in their days. I guess we know nothing really about their life yonder.. we are just making our best guesses.

Haven't I answered this question before? I think so. I would love to talk to my mom and grams again. They have been gone awhile. I feel as if they are my guardian angels. Rest in peace? I am sure these two are doing just that. And, they are helping out where they can.

@celticeagle I didn't know that you had answered this before. So you would like to talk to your dearly departed. What would you ask them or talk to them about?

@SIMPLYD Okay so you want to talk to them about everyday stuff I guess.. Don't you think that they know it already? Would you disturb them for your satisfaction? Just curious.

That's a really tough question and as much as I would want them to rest in peace, there was so much stuff that was left unfinished that I think I would love to be able to talk to them just one last time.

@simone10 I guess the feeling is natural. Most people would think that way I guess.

@Jessicalynnt I am sure there so many others like you who would want to talk to their beloved departed? I guess they know all that you have to say.. so Take it that you want to know some stuff from them.. in that case what would you ask them?

@sofssu I would tell Grandpa that I was mad he left so soon, and that I missed him so much, i'd want to tell him about hubby who he never met, and get a big old hug. Mainly I;d love to hug them one more time

No, I would let them rest in piece, even today's advanced technology cannot rob them of that.

@Juliaacv I would have said that I want to talk to them a few years ago.. now like you I would want them to rest in peace. They have had their share of troubles.. now its our time to carry the load and let them be.

@amnabas The question was "if" a hypothetical one.
