it seems a good new for us to know that we could have the second child legally in China. but as the life level improving and the life pressure more and more heavy ,we would rather to give two children really? perhaps not all Chinese are would like to have now . but it still is a good news to us for not giving so much money to the government if we want to have the second child.

Actually I don't like our own rights will be determined by the stupid rules. Yeah, it sounds to be a good news that One Child Policy will be gone. But I am not so excited. As my first child is already 11 years old. It will be late for him to have a brother or sister since there is a generation gap already. Besides, we are not in the right time to have children. We are not that young any more. It will be more risks to have babies when you are over 40. And today everything's price just keeps increasing. It is not easy to offer the same for two children.

I think government should have that right because it is difficult for it to plan for random growth in population. You are already mentioning it for just the second child. Imagine those who have four and five children. How can government plan for their education, medication, and then employment, not to mention housing and security? It is as simple as that. If we agree to take some benefits, we need to submit to other rules. I am not Chinese but I feel that rule should come to India for a few years.

yeah ,to raise up a child is not easy in China ,the education fee and other are too high,we couldn't offer the same for children,if our income is not improving steady as time got by. so we are hesitate to have another child now. i think it is enough for me to participate a life growing up as a mother

I don't think the government should be telling people how many children to have.

as a matter of fact ,Reproductive rights are basic human rights, it should not be under the control by the government.

Honestly, that rule should be applied in India. People who want to have second child should be asked to pay something upfront so that government can look after the aging population in future. I think the entire world should seriously consider reducing numbers because mortality rate for children has gone down drastically and longevity has improved. In the process, many are struggling to find jobs and many are unable to make the two ends meet, especially the elderly. I feel sorry for those who have to stay in places that are risky, earthquake prone, floods prone, or on the fringe of jungles where wild animals can eat them up. If we reduced our numbers we could keep everybody safe.

with the development of society ,the government need to give the right rule. if the population does affect the quality of life of the people, then it is necessary under the control of population growth, but only appropriately controlled, to a certain extent, the policy should be changed with the development of society. So as to enable a country to achieve sustainable development.

@Susu1121 ..yes, for sustainable development two children should be the maximum that should be allowed. Your government took a huge risk. People get accustomed to living better lifestyles and soon come to a point where they do not want more kids or are of an age when they can't have kids or cannot manage them. This can leave China with aging population. But when things are subsidized the way they are in India, we need to do something.

The government should not dictate how many babies a person can have.

I think I read somewhere that some families wanted a second child so they went to the US to give birth to their child. I might be wrong. I think it is good for families. Especially if your first child is a girl I am sure your husband would love to have a boy to carry on his name. This is great and I wish you luck.
