It's Spring here in New Zealand and the temperatures have finally stayed warm enough for more than a week to consider some serious planting.
My husband and I went to the garden centre this morning and bought some tomato plants and some strawberry plants. I didn't have time to plant them this afternoon, but that task will definitely happen over the weekend.
I'm looking forward to picking our own tomatoes and strawberries over the summer months.

@rahulvsmokiee maybe you could find somewhere nearby that sells the plants and then grow a plant for yourself? Tomatoes are pretty good too.

Nothing like gardening. Happy to hear you are into it. I just finished harvesting tomatoes. I got them from seeds I had sown which I received from someone in the UK. I dried one tomato and I now have seeds of my own which I have sown and already see two leaves.
Good Luck with your efforts.

@valmnzThat's quite a lot. Lucky you get seedlings. Here we have to start from sowing seeds.

@allknowing gets a bit costly from the garden city for the initial outlay, but saves money over the season.

We've been growing some of our own food our entire married life. It's just flower gardening I'm not much good at in the small space we have here we still manage, tomatoes, green beans, lettuce, a few potatoes, passionfruit, grapes, lemon tree, strawberries and a variety of herbs. I forgot to get the seed potatoes and the lettuce yesterday. We're also going to plant a capsicum this year and I need a new rhubarb plant. We also grow silverbeet, which is a bit like spinach.

@softbabe44 here in New Zealand, Spring, once the temperatures get consistently up to between 15 and 20C. That's now for us, October and November

It sounds like a great thing isn't it really interesting how the weather is a certain way one place and nasty in some others .

Ah Spring! Here in the US it is autumn, and we just pulled up our fading tomato plants. I miss summer already. I imagine you will have a beautiful, bountiful garden!

I planted tomatos and they are thriving. I should plant some radishes and arugule to add to lettuce.

I hope your harvest is good. There's something so hopeful about the activity of planting.

I hope the weather cooperates with your gardening plans. Our tomatoes and berries did poorly due to the intense summer heat.

Same here on the islands. I love to plant this time of year. But sometimes our tomatoes down't do so good because we get way too much rain and some of them rot on the vines or the vines die from too much rain.
