The latest Michael Connelly book, "The Crossing," found its way into my shopping bag this afternoon. He's an author my husband also enjoys, but I made it clear that I'd be reading it before him. "I read about seven times faster than you," hubby said. "Agreed," I said, " So I get much longer enjoyment from a book. And anyway, I paid for it." He'll have to be patient!
