While i was waiting for the storm to stop today and contemplating whether i needed a boat, raft or arm floaties to get me covered in case we had to leave, i decided what would i take with me?
First was myself and kitty
2nd my bag of tricks
3rd a platter of brownies to give out
4th a set of clothes with unmentionables
5th..shoot it stopped raining now so never mind
Have you ever had this happen to you and what did you grab?

@Rosekitty This is great to hear. I always love to see blue skies and sun after a few days of rain/ The sun sure is a welcome site.

@Rollo1..cages sadly might be too much to hold onto if you were stranded on top of your house..time to think of a better waterproof holder..

It would be and my kitty first if I was in the situation. Good idea that you opted yourself and the kitty.

I love how brownies made it on my list, and kinda once in an apartment fire (nowhere near us but same building, was a bad one though, we got out with keys and shoes, and that was it, didnt even have time to catch and crate the kitten (only way to handle her with the smells and noise)

"The mere thought of taking Casper along helps you." - Old Jungle Saying
I know, the #5 was for Casper
Okay, now that I am done with not-so-sensible stuff, the sensible stuff -
I was stranded in a flash flood at my brother's inlaws village some years back. 3 days and 2 nights on the roof of their house in the rain and then another 2 days and nights for the water to recede. It was horrible back then, but today, I think it was an experience - something that I had never had.
If I were to pack up and leave owing to flood or another natural disaster, I would first take my medicines. Then other things.
Now that I am married, I will only need to take my wife - she knows better than me what should we take along.
