As we all know, Yesterday was Halloween. In standard Michigan style, it was a miserable day outside. Cold, rainy and a bit windy. But that hasn't stopped kids from rushing out to collect as much candy as possible in the past, and that held true this year as well.
We all went over to my parent's neighborhood, as is tradition, and off we went. Noah had a blast. He really loved his "Toothless" costume. It's a dragon from the "How To Train Your Dragon" films. The girls were just along for the ride dressed as a pair of cute little owls. It rained on us pretty bad about halfway up the street so I took the girls back to the house. Meanwhile Noah and Momma kept going. Noah filled up his little bucket with candy and seemed to have a great time.
I can't wait for next year when all three of them can enjoy trick or treating. I wonder what they kids will dress up as next year...and if i'll stop being lame and dress up myself.
What were you (or your kids) for halloween this year? Did you have a good time?

My kids were the hulkbuster and the Hello Kitty witch. We managed to trick-or-treat three times at different places.

We did a few different places in the week leading up to halloween as well. My son still fits into his old costumes so he was also a construction worker and a train from "Chuggington" this year. He loves dressing up. Now i have to look up what the hulkbuster is , sounds like your kids had fun this year!

@bobo2500 It was more of a funny one. He didn't want the costumes that actually fit his size so the result was a plastic face that kept falling. Managed to pin everything else together pretty well though.

My toddler is going nuts over Noah's Toothless costume right now. She adores that dragon! The girls' owl costumes are adorable, too.
My two went as a bumblebee and a peacock fairy this year. What's really funny is that my 5-year-old has decided to use the fairy costume for the last three years. I think we're going to have to change things up next year, since she's pretty close to outgrowing it. We're going out to scope out the Halloween clearance today. Maybe she'll find something she likes while we're out.

A lot of people liked his costume, adults seem to love that movie as much as kids (myself included!) A bumblebee and a peacock sound like super cute costumes for little ones. We pick up our costumes second hand on a "Mom to Mom" group on facebook. That way we can get a few different options for half the price of just one store bought one. Clearance is a great idea as well!

I am also from Michigan! It was so terrible! I live in a decent neighborhood with a decent amount of kids and only got a few. I received more grown adults not even in costume than children!
