It is very early in the morning, I have been up since 5 o'clock drinking coffee and listening to musid. Right now the song I am enjoying is from John Denver and titled "Take Me Home, Country Roads". It is a song full of memories for me and once in a while i get the urge to listen to it several times in a row. It brings me back to some good old days. How I wish those days were still here in real life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTeUdJky9rY

A good choice, as are all of John Denver's recordings. I have a selection of old recordings from the 1950s and 1960s that I play occasionally.

@dodoazo Yes, John Denver was prolific. Too sad that he left us so soon.

@marlina isn't it funny how a song can trigger a memory (good or bad) that you had forgotten until that song came on

Fell in love with john Denver's songs in college. I would put Annie's song and sunshine on my shoulders on the speakers and just lock myself in my room and listen to it endlessly. Flowers too :)

Songs like those become time machines that bring to a past when everything was simpler and life was easier to bear. We need those nostalgic moments.

My songs full of memories are usually Italian songs, the one I used to listen when I was a young girl and still lived there.

That's one of my favorite John Denver songs and I can almost remember all the words without even listening to it

I remember that one from chldhood days. I was at Summer camp. I loved the song and (even as a sprout) correctly predicted he would become a really popular singer.

John Denver was a nice change as he extolled the virtues of nature and living a simple life. It's sad that we've lost him.
