Which do you suppose is better?

I know lots of list makers.
Some list what they WANT to do, then cross things off as they do them.
Others do things then list them, so at the end of the day they have a list of accomplishments.
Sometimes the first way of doing things makes me feel like a failure, as I may be busy all day but not get a thing on my list done.
Sometimes the second way is a manner of avoiding the most important stuff.
Today, if I were to pre list, it would say:" Take the trash to the curb for pick up" on the top line.
Every day it would say : "Work on Swag Bucks Goal".
What would be, or is on your list?
I think breakfast is on mine.

I would make a list of all I need to do on the internet and make a note about the time spent , because I do tend to spend too much time on somethings.

Me too, and then there are the interruptions, like spending time with my husband.

My list would be very boring.. it's literately, study, write papers, home, sleep. Not much of a list .

I'm the one who would list down things I need to get done. That way, once all the tasks are on paper, I can prioritize the tasks and act accordingly.

It works well as long as someone does not interrupt me.

I used to make a list of the stuff I wanted to get posted after the weekend, then have another one for the beginning of the next week and what I want to work on, post, accomplish. Sometimes it helped and sometimes it didn't. I have pretty much quit doing that though because the group of sites I was working on has dried up and so many have closed. It's depressing. No money at the end of the month like there was. But the list is a great idea to get in the habit of so you can remind yourself.

@GardenGerty ....It's pretty sad cause that was extra money for the month. Now it's just what I make on here. Nice but it sure doesn't go very far.

The top of my list is always pray.
Insurmountable problems and challenges in human terms requires it.

I might add things to that list as I think of other things that need done. I do the list and cross off on days where I have things that HAVE to be done.

@GardenGerty yep, so every couple of hours I go to mine and make myself do a thing, or if the thing is too big, I break it down into little things that are easy to do.

I'm a list maker and feel a great sense of accomplishment crossing things off the list. I make list on the weekends if I have a lot of things to get done in a short period of time. I make my list so that I can feel that accomplishment, such as I don't make a list that says clean the house, I make the list for each room I plan to tackle and what I plan to accomplish in that room. So lets say that I plan to clean the hall bathroom and the guest bedroom. My list might look something like, clean the tub/shower, clean the toilet, clean the counter, put everything away, wash rugs and sweep & mop the floor, dust furniture and vacuum rug. That way at the end of the day you have gotten through a great accomplishment instead of cleaned the house. When you look at a list and more than half the items aren't marked off you feel defeated this way the majority of my list gets marked off and I feel I have won. I haven't ever made a list of the things that I did after I did them, never even thought about it that way. I also make a list for my bills and as I go through the month and pay them, I cross them off the list, at the end of the month I can see that everything was paid.

We have a separate place we list the bills, with a column for every month. Extras like semi annual taxes are also listed. I just realized that the taxes are due the month we tag the vehicles.

@GardenGerty - The first time (and the next-to-the-last time) that I made a list, I lost it. The last time I made a list, it had "do not make any more lists" on it. That was the only list in my memory that I followed up on.
