There are a few people who don’t realize how easy it is to modify your MyLot notifications you receive. Take a look at my image and follow these simple steps to modify your MyLot setting. It’s easy and helps you to select the setting that best fit you and your account.
1) Under you name click on the setting tab.
2) This brings up your account, password, notifications, profile and sharing options for our account.
3) Select notifications.
4) On the right you will see the default setting for your account.
5) Place your cursor next to the box and click. This will remove the check in the box.
Now here you can change your dashboard notifications or your email notifications. It’s easy to customize your account to make your life happy on MyLot. Have fun and hope this has helped you.

Thanks. It is wonderful seeing quite a new mylotter (I consider myself an oldie as I have been here for 5+ years now) doing a good work of spreading the tips for others. I am really happy to read this one. Hope many others would benefit from this

There are probably many members who could use that information because receiving notifications for everything would simply flood their notifications with worthless data. I disabled the notification for liking a post or comment from the start.

I did not do it at first but now I have because of receiving so many likes on a single post from a few certain new members was driving me crazy. I saw a few people ask how to do this so I decided to show them how easy it was to modify their accounts.

@hema7213 Thank you so much. I have written some book on how to use some data recovery tools and it is important to explain things in details. I also had to write training manuals for people who we installed equipment in their offices. I like to write like this because it really helps people who don't know that much about computer to learn more. I am so glad I have helped a few people understand a little more on this site.

I change mine every once in a while. I get too many emails. Used to get more on the old Mylot.

I pretty much allow all notifications through. It might be good to be able to sort them into order, i.e., direct comments to articles at the top, then comments on comment, down through likes, etc.

@poehere yes I'm sure it might not be easy to organize sadly

@arthurchappell Well look at it this way the newer notification are at the top and the older ones are at the bottom. So I guess you can start top down or bottom up depending on how you want to answer them.

You are welcome glad to help out when I can. It is simple but it does help at times to teach a few simple tricks to people.

Sounds good to me! |I will try to modify mine. I hope I won't make a mistake that instead of modifying, I erroneously "evaporate" my account!

@poehere I kept looking for a place to edit it. The Settings link is so small I just overlooked it! I don't need to get the 'like' notifications, so I changed that.
