Our furniture delivery wasn't on time....

....it was actually early! The delivery guy called to tell us we were the first stop. They were to be here between 12 Noon and 2 pm. They got here at 10:45! Yeah!!
They very carefully protected our front door before they took out the old chairs. They put those in the garage for us.
Then they brought in the new chairs...what a difference! It looks like a different room.
PS: They were both wearing identical red shirts that had the following words on the back....Tips are appreciated
We don't usually tip delivery people and we don't keep cash in the house so all they got was a big cheerful 'thank you'.
Photo is mine.

I like getting something new, even one piece, every few years.

Thanks, and I think that shirt is a good reason not to tip them.

That chair is very nice, wish i could get some new furniture for my bedroom, i think about painting it all the time but then again that cost money too.
I work for a delivery, construction company and our shirts do not read that tips are appreciated. Of course the guys do get them from time to time. and its nice. I dont think its a nice thing to even have on a shirt.
This time of year though my boyfriend lives off Tips when loading christmas trees and helping families. Its actually a good job this time of year and it pays off. We usually get to go on a weeks vacation paid and then bring money that i may get from working.

We don't buy expense furniture - my husband and the dog are both hard on things! I got myself a Lazy Boy, and it still looks new after 5 years, his chair was 3 years old and looked 25! It sounds like you make it work...that's good, enjoy life because it's too short.

It was a first for us. I wonder if the company knows they wear those shirts?

@Jessicalynnt Well, they could put the shirt on after they leave the warehouse..but I guess someone would have told on them by now.
