Changing from blog format?

Canada

For some of us we've come here from formats which are somewhat closer to blogs-and I am personally more used to a teaching setting. It's somewhat in the nature of my vocation. And mylot appears to be geared more toward discussion and interacting within that frame. So for me at least it's taken a bit of getting used to a slightly different setting. Has anyone else felt the change of focus? Has it taken any getting used to for you? Or if you've come from a more traditional blog setting, have you even felt the change of focus?

Yea this site seems to be more geared towards interaction, especially with the features of personal messaging feature that does not exist in the other formats. I just like it because it remembers my user name, unlike other websites. It is also cool that they make it easy to connect twitter and Facebook. And I like it how it layout your discussion's and replies. To me it is the simplest format that I have seen

It is a lot more simple, and the features are a bonus for sure.

MyLot took some getting used to. The discussion forum is not what I have become accustomed to, But the warm reception from the members and quick responses from Admin made the adjustment very easy.

@HebrewGreekStudies - Nice to see you too. Was wondering why I had not seen you at PersonaPaper. You got a new hang out!

I have felt the change. And quite frankly, I'm still trying to get used to it (I say sheepishly). :-)

To be honest I think you're doing a good job at it, I think you've always been good at conversation and have been kind of natural at it-or at least it seems that way:)
