Honey, I Forgot My Dentures!

"Haste makes waste", so the saying goes! My next story proves that this saying is true. My wife and I are opposite poles in every aspects. Of course, she is a woman and I am a man . . not man to man. But aside from that we are different in practically everything. I am a vegan, she is not. She snores, I don't. She sleeps on her back, I sleep on my tummy. I am a fast mover/worker, she is a real slowpoke. What else?! O, she keeps forgetting the past, I keep remembering things in the past, especially the yummy ones. One Sunday morning, as we usually do being a devout catholic, we went to church to thank the Almighty for the graces and to ask for more (of course). I always let my wife dress up an hour earlier before I do. I dress up fast like half an hour only. I am not kidding, but after I got dressed up and ready to go, she was only half done! I kept yelling to her to hurry up. She is so slow and I am so fast. . But there is one exception in which she is fast and I am slow. That is another story. Anyway, on that particular Sunday, the priest was already delivering his sermon when we arrived at the church. We were at the church's entrance when my wife held my arm and whispered: "Honey, we have to go back! I forgot my dentures!" Yikes! What a waste! Loss of time. Loss of energy (driving). And unnecessary loss of gas (car). It was my fault though.

You made me laugh, poor wife, you stressed her so much that she forgot her dentures. I am very fast, while my husband is slow, I am always ready one hour before he is ready.

Haha, she is not interested going online. In fact, she has a facebook page, but seldom she opens it. She is obsessed watching her favorite drama shows on TV.

O, yeah . . she loves to eat hotdogs and eggs for breakfast. Of course, with rice. While I usually eat the leftovers (last night's dinner) like my favorite steamed mussles with rice of course. . . and a cup of hot coffee. Aside from being vegetarian, I still eat seafoods like mussels, crabs, shrimps, fish . . and lobsters. Sadly, I ate lobsters a couple of times in my whole life. I could not afford . . they are so expensive!

oh my. funny but exhausting. maybe next time before you go out you remind her of her dentures and other things she used to bring so there will be no trouble again next time. In my case, we are in reverse position. I can go prepare and dress up quickly and my husband needs a lot of time in taking a bath, dressing up. That is why I wake him up first ir we have to go somewhere.

@antonbunot yes, but when it is time to dressing up I say I have to give him 1 to 1.5 hours.

@rakski I guess he got lots of stuff to make himself smells and looks so "finger-licking-good" like perfumes, powder, skin-smoother, and so on!

You shouldn't have made her hurry. You also missed the sermon. I wonder did you get any extra grace?

I think being slow mover runs in their family. She got 4 sisters and all of them are slow moving humans.

We all forget stuff. Though I don't have dentures, but I would assume she might of needed them to enjoy breakfast that morning. I certainly don't forget my glasses as my world would be a bit blurry with out them and I wouldn't be able to drive with out them as well. Did you drive back or tell her to just deal with it for the time being so you weren't late for services?

Sometimes I feel impatient but not all the time. On that particular Sunday I was impatient because I wanted to return home right away to keep on bubbling. This happened a couple of years ago when Bubbling was worth the time, efforts, and energy!

Glad to see you here my crazy friend, hahahaha, this story reminds me of my late husband. He was about to go to work. he was already one block away when he returned back home and ask for his dentures,

No, I did not notice. I was focused on my driving because we were already late for the mass. And when we finally got back, it was already Holy Communion.

LOL . . I did not notice it because I was a little bit mad at her at that time for she kept me waiting for half an hour. In fact, we were not talking while we were on our way to the church.
