Fear _ a poem

The light has gone out,
Terror of darkness stalks around,
In pale ghostly shapes and,
Weirdly disturbing noises ,
To him who is afraid.
Shaken like a leaf,
At the slightest rustle of leaves,
Jumping out of his skin ,
To the chirping of crickets,
Even to the promptings of his mind.
Fear conjures up,
Evil beings and dark things,
That may never be!
Do you have any fears? Fear of dark? Fear of being alone at night? whatever it may be what is your fear?

@Jessicalynnt Thank you .. I am not sure I don't have that.. I never had in the past.. but now I am not okay with climbing heights.

@Jessicalynnt I think that is the actual fear of heights.. splatting at the bottom..as you put it. I guess a lot of people have that rather than take an airplane ride.

@sofssu It's not the heights per say, like I can handle an airplane ride fine, although I hate the take off and the landing. it's actually seeing the heights and the fear of splatting at the bottom that gets me

Many people fear dark and all the more being alone in the dark. I have that fear when I was a child but now no more. I can't think anymore of what significant fear I have. I have some about the future but the reality that God is always in control helps me overcome.

@Juliaacv We women are so prone to osteoporosis. I myself have been on calcium supplements for three years now.. This is my fear too.. I can't handle the consequences of a fall. I have once before been bed ridden for months.. and was told I'd never walk.. But thank God I did and do much more too.

@sofssu When I was in my 40's I was diagnosed with severe osteoporosis. Its in my spine and hips, my spine is still so thin and brittle that I do not have to fall to break it. They told me I'd be in a wheelchair by the time I was 50 because my spine isn't strong enough to support my body-they were wrong! I pick my battles and don't go looking for a fall, I no longer ice skate as a precaution.

Great poem, could feel tension building as I read it.... I really really dislike spiders....whicb hoarders on fear ..as I can't settle if I know one is in the same room as me.... 
but other than that I don't have any ....

@sueznewz2 Than k you.. I have no problems with critter.. I just keep away from snakes and scorpions. You home must be really clean to avoid those.

@sofssu Funnily enough in spain I very rarely see spiders... but there are cockroaches.... , but they don't give me a problem... but where I work in England ... the house is like a blooming spider magnet....
