How close are you with your neighbor?

Neighbors for me is the people who are close in my eyes but away from my heart. I respect my neighbors and do not want too much meddling in their domestic affairs. I have good relations with neighbors, but not familiar. How about you? How close are you with your neighbor?

We get on ok with most neighbours. A few virtually ignore us and some I don't even know by name

I think it is normal that there are some neighbors who ignore us and we do not know who they are, because we are often busy with our business, so there is no time know each other.

I am sorry to hear that. Hopefully you will get new wonderful neighbors again. Unfortunately, I don't have a wonderful neighbor yet during I stay in my new house about 1,5 years.

When I live in the countryside, my family is familiar with my neighbors .We always talk with each other . Now I study in the city , I don't see them about two years .They move their family and setter down in the county . My family are very sad to lose them . But we still be touth with them by phone

Yes, having a good neighbor is a bless, you can help each other and keep in touch though you have not being neighbor again. Unfortunately, I do not have a nice neighbor yet.

My aunt is my neighbour so I know her and am familiar with her. Also the other one is my childhood friend so we know each other well but we have reduced our conversations now since we are busy with our own lives now.

I think you live with some good neighbors, where they are your relatives and your old friend, so that very close with them. I think you are lucky having a nice neighbors.

I greet them whenever I see them, but we rarely converse or visit each other's homes as I respect privacy and I want some privacy too specially when I am working/writing.

Me too. I also say hello to them but never talk much. I respect their privacy too. I feel comfortable when I never know their business. Do you also feel the same with me?

We live in the apartment. However, we are not familar with our neightbors. I think this is the common problem to live in the city. You will just say hello to each other but that's all. You don't even know their names. In fact I wish to have a closer relationship with them. Such as if I cook something nice, I'd like to share with them. But it is hard to move that step.

Yes, you are right, in the city it is very common, where most people does not familiar with their neighbors. Here, we are say hello each other and sometime give some food each other when have special day or celebration. But we seldom talk too much.

We are pretty close in the manner that we don't interfere in each other's personal matters, but just enough to trust them when we need them. Like for instance when we are locked out. Ours is one of the flats of residential complex, so it's kind of a social circle with neighbours throughout the day.

Me too, I am respect them and never interfere their personal matters. I prefer respect them without know their problem. When they need a help, I help them and finish.

I know most of them up and down the street that I live on because we go for a walk every day and they wave and say hi. Sometimes we even stop and talk to them.

It is so weird because I have a neighbor who has lived in our neighborhood as long as I have , 24 years, and we have hardly said two words to her. I do remember trying to strike up a conversation when we first moved in, but it was like she didn't want to associate, so I didn't bother her.

Yeahh...sometime we find weird neighbors...but we have to respect them. Because, it is their right to do, as long as they do not disturb us.
