Is it in My STARS?

All people have good and bad luck. Sometimes the bad luck causes a reaction that leads to good luck. For example, a scary letter in the mail might cause you to relocate elsewhere, when in fact that might be just what you needed to break your desperate search for happiness in the wrong place. In a logical way, people should welcome a string of bad luck because mathematically, according to the odds and the law of probabilities, you'll be that much more certain of good luck coming up. For example, if you flip a coin three times and each one is tails (bad luck), it means you're overdue for heads (good luck) next time. It's not your astrology that brings the bad luck, it's just plain and simple living. That's the way life is. Each day is like another pull on a slot machine. You never know what the day may bring. It's better than a slot machine (which is artificially rigged against you). Life isn't rigged. It's the same for everybody. Everyone gets equal shares of good and bad luck in life.

It's just part of life. Sometimes we go through happy cycles and other times we go the other way. I hope things get better for you soon!

Do you believe in stars and all these!! I don't think, there are up and downs in our life and we have to move on with all these.

Hi Lany. I try and think that all experiences, good or bad, shape us and I should use them to make me grow into a better person. However, it is easier said than done and I don't think I have ever had a consecutive series of painful instances such as you have had and doubt I would be thinking anything like that if I were in your shoes. I would be cussing everything and everyone! As ever, for what it's worth, I offer you sincerest prayers, thoughts and love.

I read my stars occasionally but (probably luckily) half an hour later I can never remember what they said. I'm sorry you're having a tough time. Sometimes when you're down, it seems you keep getting kicked but I'm sure this too will pass. Keep your chin up. You have lots of friends here wishing you well.

I don't think there's anything written in the stars for us, although there are events in life which have a direct influence in our lives and which unfortunately we can't control. I guess it's more a matter of luck, sometimes we are in the wrong place at the wrong time when unpleasant events may happen, but we aren't there because of the stars, but because the circumstances of life have taken us to that point.

There are things that are beyond our control, things we can't change. Are you thinking about your friend? Stay strong.

I think that everything happens for a reason. The good and the bad. There is always a lesson to be learned.

They say things happen for a reason you never know about things that happen and why.

The fault, dear Inlemay, is not in your stars, nor in yourself...Life is complex and often unfair, and bad things happen to good people all the time. I sometimes wonder if chance is the most important thing in life.

No I very much doubt it, I do not believe in astrology at all. Sorry you are going through hard times.

We may live in different countries, but I am sure that we have the same stars. The only difference is that we cannot see as many as you do because of all the clouds.

Life will always be full of circumstances we can't control. The only thing we can control is how we react to them. I hope you will come through these troubles with your ebullient nature and humor intact.

I am not a believer in astrology - the transit of Venus made me write that. Seriously, I think we have too much free will for that

I like to think that bad things have reason, it makes me feel better about them, but who knows.

I think we go through highs and lows in life. Some years we have more lows than others. I am not certain why. But, all things do pass, it is the way of life. Nothing is constant. So, I am not certain anything is written in the stars.
