I May Be Stubborn, But I’m Not Stupid

Friends have told me that I am too loyal. When the bank with which I did business was taken over by a bigger, less reliable one, I stayed on. Then they started messing up my account. It wasn’t until a good friend reminded me that the bank I had trusted no longer existed that I switched.
I have been writing on the B site for over a year. I was making decent money for the first several months I was there. I liked that there were many people who enjoyed reading my articles. But I make less there in a week than I do here in a few minutes.
It makes no sense for me to go there even once a week. It is a waste of my time, effort and talent. I will stop by this morning to say goodbye to those who remain. Most of friends are here now, so I won’t miss very many.
Are you super loyal too? What makes you finally say, “Enough”?

This is a good policy, but it took me far too long to get there.

If you are not enjoy it, then it is time to leave. Some are just having fun on certain sites, but earn their online money elsewhere.

I go to the movies for fun. Writing online is not a hobby for me.

@ElizabethWallace The main difference between you and I is that I am stubborn AND stupid.

Most of my followers and those I enjoyed reading left. I stayed until today, but I'm done there now.

@Asylum Haha, I don't think so. You know far more than I do about several topics.

I do tend to be loyal up to a point. I was trying to be loyal to my friends over at the B site, but at this point, I don't even know why those who are there remain, and if they continue to do so, I cannot be there more to support them.

Exactly. It is like a deserted movie theater, pretty, but uninteresting.

I still lack $16 to redeem at B. Not sure what I'll do.

How many hours for how many years would it take to make $16 over there?

according to my experience stubborn people are quite nice that is because they take decisions by them selves which is very good

Thanks, but sometimes it feels like we are just dense.

I stopped awhile ago after not receiving my redemption and finding it incredibly hard to get anyone to view my posts anymore.

I liked it when hundreds read my articles. It's a ghost town now. You can almost see the tumbleweeds.

I did not know that this site existed when I joined B. I was there in order to earn some money and share my articles.

@Rosekitty I heard that the previous owners bought it back. Don't know anything about that though.

I have written for Bubblews for more than two years and a half. I have been loyal even when I missed some payment and Arvind sent me a message saying it was a mistake and he was sorry... but the money never came in. Now I feel demotivated, I do not trust them anymore. Most of my friends are here now and I see no reason to come back there.

@ElizabethWallace Young, dumb and selfish. They thought they made a favor to the users paying them peanuts, in reality they had to thank every day those who spent hours on their site.

@LadyDuck I believe they do not even think about the writers on their site. They had another idea and put their efforts there. This is not good business sense, and pretty mean too.

I think they are suffering from being young and dumb.

I left today. The attitude of the staff finally did it for me.

I have been working online for 20 years, so I know that sites come and go. It's been necessary for me to move quickly to preserve my income. I stopped writing regularly at Bubblews when the payment levels fell off of a cliff. I keep my account and write a little there so that if things get better (like they did here) I am good to go.

This makes good sense, but how do you know when a site turns a corner and starts paying again? Is there some yardstick you use?

I hung on for a long time, hoping the site would somehow bounce back. Even now, I have not deleted my account. I may still stop by, but there is nothing to draw me there. I only just signed up here, and I don't even know how things work, so I don't know how active I will be here either.

I did not delete my account, or take my posts down. But I wont' go there unless I am super bored, and then, only out of curiosity.

I am super loyal. Maybe because I was started young to it. Mama enrolled me & my only sister to a University for Grade 1. We finished Elementary, then High School & College, there. I thought March 30, 1979 ended my studies in that University. I was wrong. When I decided to pursue teaching, I again enroled there for my Masteral. And when I worked with the Supreme Court & wanted to become a Lawyer, I also enroled there for the Law course. Yes, I haven't completed my Masteral & I am just on my 3rd year in Law, so I still have few years in the University. If that is not being super loyal!

As AnjaP says, "loyal up to a point." I stop by the B place once or twice a week to visit and if the mood strikes me, I post something.

I would have changed banks if they messed up my account and would have stopped on the place that you do not make much either. I am loyal to my friends. They are very important to me even if I do not see them much.
