Quiet here yesterday didn't hurt the bank at all

Yesterday I discussed how I thought it was quiet here on myLot. I guess it wasn't as quiet as I thought. When I checked my bank this morning I found that yesterday was a good day money-wise. I had my highest day of the month yesterday. I guess you can't judge a book by its cover...or judge myLot by the emptiness or fullness!

I really like the algorithm they use to judge activity and interaction. It seems to be very fair. It takes the pressure off of constantly coming up with new posts when you can interact and make money. It also lets you do other things and then have something to write about.

I like commenting and such, but I also like to start discussions. I couldn't possibly not start discussions, I talk too much!

I like the fact that commenting on others' posts is a factor. It makes people less self-absorbed, even if it's partly for a selfish reason.

I was here all day and had terrible earnings, far worse than the whole of the week before. Who knows how these things work.

Odd, I made almost a whole dollar here yesterday, and I wasn't on here all day as I'd gone shopping and sat and watched 3 movies.. I did a bit in the morning and then checked in occasionally.

@boiboing - I know you were on a lot, I saw you! @katsmeow1213 - mine was well over a dollar, the day before when I had internet problems it was 49 cents

I wasn't feeling very good so missed that discussion but i feel weekends have more people cause no work for many and it is goof off day which tends to make more interactions as you found out..

@Rosekitty I would really like things finished during the week, but I do not get my preferences, often.

But on the other hand it's run errands day, visit friends day, get stuff done other than on the computer day - not for us retired folks you know what I mean!

I am glad you had a good day yesterday. I wasn't here only at night, and by the time I came in then, I only had seven cents. I didn't make much at all, so now I am really working hard to make up for the few days, that I didn't earn very much, because it was so slow. Not sure why either.

@AbbyGreenhill I am sure they do. One being the time zones, as those in other countries are night when we are day, and we are night when they are the next day. It seems not to bad right now though, as I have been doing notifications, pretty much since I came in this morning. I don't mind it though, as the more the merrier.

The ebb and flow I guess, lots of factors play into it.

Yesterday was good day for me too. But I had one of those posts that got lots of comments. I'm I'm quiet, so are my earnings.

It's those multi-comment discussions that really push the numbers.

There goes that unknown algorithm again. I did well yesterday, but as long as I make 34 cents per day, I am happy. That is the minimum to reach cash out. I will admit to passing that goal more than once though.

I decided that for me 50 cents a day was a good number. I wasn't trying real hard to beat that but I beat it most days. Right now, today, I only have 11 cents, but it will climb.

I really have not been here long enough to compare to other days. I am not sure what is my normal here. I know I used to make some decent money here, but those days seem to be long gone. I hope to be able to cash out by the first of the year.

I didn' have enough the first month and a half - so Oct. I finally did but I hadn't put much time in that first month 1/2. For Oct alone it was over more than double the $10

i was not able to spend much time here yesterday, as I was at work, so I was using my phone , but that takes to long, so I gave up. Glad you made extra that you did not expect tho.

You're right. Even with the slowness, the bank moved, that's awesome. That doesn't always happen with slowness.

I don't know what a really good day here should be. My numbers are moving, but not all that fast.

I consider it a good day if I hit 50 cents, one dollar is a great day and anything above that means I've been on the computer too long!
