Easy Way to Meditate

There are a lot of articles available on how to meditate. I mediate and out of curiosity I tried a lot of techniques as taught in these articles or you tube videos. My experience is very different and I would like to share it with all. When we start meditation we have to accept that our brain and body are such designed by GOD that mediation is no alien to it. We are just out of practise or so much involved in our daily routine that this art of mediation has gone to our subconscious mind. But don't worry the moment we tell our body and brain that I want to meditate you will get ways to concentrate and you will be on the right track. Frist find a comfortable place to sit or lie down. In the beginning I would suggest that you sit, don't lie down as many people tend to fall asleep while lying down. While sitting you should be facing North or East. Try doing this early morning. This is the time when your mind is fresh. Sit in the same place and same time every day. This will help in meditation. Now concentrate on your breath and try and listen to the sound of your breath. When you inhale, inhale all the positive energy, love and abundance from the universe and exhale out your problems, pains, negative emotions everything that is bothering you. Your mind will have different thoughts, don't try to stop them. Trying to stop your thoughts is in itself a thought. As your mind wanders again bring it to your breath. This is the effort required from you. Just start from 5 minutes and when 5 minutes become 10 minutes, 20minutes , 40 minutes you will not know. Try this technique for 30 days and you will be on path to finding a new person in you. Meditation is like learning to ride a bicycle. When we were small some one would hold from the back and we would ride the cycle. But then that person leaves us without our knowledge and we can balance the cycle. Today if I ask you how do you balance the cycle having two thin tyres and a steel frame, you wouldn't be able to explain. Meditation is exactly the same, the person who is doing it cannot explain how it happens, but once it happens it is the most beautiful thing to have happened. Another thing which helps in meditation is the intensity with which you want to do it. Many people will not be able to understand the word INTENSITY. People who have had a true love affair in there lives they would understand. When you are in love you want to meet that person at any cost. You are not worried about anything, you want to be with that person. You are ready to wait for n number of hours. And when you meet that person you talk and enjoy the silence. That is love and that is the INTENSITY with which you have to start meditation. Happy Meditation.

You have inspired me to try again - I think that I lacked patience when trying before.I was too tense.

OR!...don't make a big thing of it...just sit, relax and drift away...trying too hard just makes it more difficult...
