Incredible Autumn

I took the photo that you see on the right, today during my afternoon walk.
We are in November, the trees should have lost all their leaves, but everything is still green.
Today the temperature jumped to 26 degrees Celsius (78.8 F).
Of course I like this weather, but our average November temperature is around 11 degrees (53 F), now it's too hot.
The temperature can abruptly drop any day, if it snows the branches, full of leaves, will break and this is a shame.
Do you believe this is the so called "greenhouse effect"?
There is nothing we can do, let's enjoy the nice weather until it last.

@RasmaSandra You are right, it does not look like Autumn this year.

@LadyDuck even though most of our trees are bare, the grass is till green and the damp, cool rainy weather makes it seem like spring not November in northern Europe.

I do Anna. There is something very strange going on as I see by your photo and listening to others here around the world regarding the very warm weather unseasonably warm. Here too it has been rather unusual and the trees are just now beginning to turn.

Beautiful blue sky - ours looks similar - a nice change. We aren't as warm as you are it's only about 60 but at least the sun is out.

Our temperatures are very close to yours. Unseasonably warm for November but I'm enjoying it before it gets cold and snowy

It is warmish here but terribly grey today. I wish we had blue skies like that. As for the green house effect I think this has been over hyped.

@Asylum Well it has been dry I must say so that is something to be grateful for. It is quite a hardship living in the tropics down here you know!

There is nothing we can do, ...
We already did enough damage to Mother Nature and still there are millions who still dont understand. It is pathetic.
The climate here too has drastically changed. At this time of the year (until last year) we had to turn off the fans early morning (say at around 3:00 am), but this year it is still terribly hot. Though the days have shortened yet, there is nothing called cool in the air around.

@LadyDuck I went to a talk last year by a climatologist - his theme was very much that it is really too late now which was rather worrying.

@arthurchappell This is what I thought, it is too late and governments are doing nothing to stop this trend.

That is amazing that your leaves are still green. Ours are all off the branches by now. Is there a chance you'll get snow before your leaves fall off?

I guess that is warm in this time of the year for Swiss climate. 26 degrees is what is present in Kolkata now, and that is warm. Greenhouse effect has postponed all the special features of seasons by a month or two.....it's a shame.

@LadyDuck if it is continuously for some days, then you might be experiencing unusual heat wave, but it's too absurd for this time of the year. Hope the temperature plummets soon.

@LadyDuck (10154),We have had a roller coaster fall. Up in the 80s one day, today it is 50, and next week it is supposed to get to 31.. Our leaves are falling very fast. They have turned very beautiful right now, and I love them. But yeah, we have had a strange fall. Love to you my firend, and love the picture of the tree. It sure would be beautiful if it had its leaves all in color.

Weather seems to go in cycles. A bad winter is predicted, but yes, like you we are having very mild weather. I have heard it is because of El Nino, currents in the ocean. As you say, we cannot change it, so we should enjoy it.

I think the weather is very strange. Something is surely messing it up. Our leaves are falling with wild abandon. Keith blows they up into a pile and a few days later two more inches are covering the yard again.
