Purpose of life

What do you think the purpose of life? Why do we live if in the end we die? Is there a God who created us and watching over us? And if so, why not tell us what to do directly?

It is up to us to find that purpose so we can have a meaningful living than just existing

I think the purpose of life is to evolve into better beings that love and can achieve much with love including perpetual life.

Even if God tells us directly what to do, will we obey? For instance, do good to others, be kind, love and get over jealousy, anger and hate, respect your body and mind, keep them healthy. These are basic tenets of almost all the religions and societies in the world today. How many people do you know follow them?
