Am I alone to hate noisy fireworks?

It is festive season here (10 Nov is a sort of Indianized Christmas, called as "Diwali" in India). Except Goa which is predominantly Christian, everywhere else in India the unbearably ear-piercing, high-decibel fireworks seem to be endlessly cracking. While those silent fireworks which go up the sky and splash into multi-colors is fascinating, those ground-level fireworks which do nothing but burst out with an incredibly high volume is devastating. Not only the pet dog or children, it even infuriates well-built adults at times.
Having lived in Arab countries, it was completely noise-free without any such high volume fireworks (but for few bomb blasts in the vicinity though, alas). Having become a "Returning Indian" and back home, I am getting frustrated.
Am I alone in hating such noisy fireworks?

Do you mean to say that Canada too suffers from NOISY fireworks deliberately fired by few of the citizens ignorant of dire consequences? This is news to me.

I guess yes!!
Diwali and Christmas are no where in comparison!! Both are as different as Rock and Water!!
Did you hate it before leaving India too?

Always hate NOISY fireworks. It reminds me of bomb blasts these days (after getting out of India and living amidst unforeseen bomb blasts and returning back home, only to view these miniature bombings).

@Rationalwriter Not "began to like" it exactly, but learned to "tolerate".
