Whoops. I got side-tracked again.

" I think I'll make myself a cup of coffee" I say, partly to myself and partly to Mr Platypus. I switch the electric kettle on, then go back to my computer. 20 minutes later, I will say "Thats right, I was going to make a hot drink, wasn't I?". Out to the kitchen, and switch the kettle on again. While I'm waiting for the kettle to boil, I head out to the laundry; there's some washing that I need to hang out. Back inside, and a 'quick' check on facebook. 30 minutes later, Mr Platypus mutters (from his computer corner) "Didn't you boil the kettle before?" "Oh. Thats right. I got side-tracked. Yes. I was going to make a coffee" "Well", he might say. "Why don't you make one then" "Because now it's after 7pm. I wont sleep if I have a coffee this late." I can hear him rolling his eyes from where I am sitting. Next task is to prepare my clothes for work the next day. Then....... "I think I'll make a hot chocolate drink", and I switch the kettle on again. Mr Platypus just shakes his head.

It happens when you have different things that you want to get done.

It's often the case when it comes to parenting. Ha ha ha. Multi-tasking isn't really possible mos of the time.

Very true. Kids will side-track you, then remind you an hour later about the first thing you were going to do - until they side-tracked you.

I also get side tracked specially when i remember something to do and do it while i still can remember it . Only to come back and realized i forgot what i was doing at that time .

The mother of being sidetracked! That big hot chocolate drink sounds so tempting.

Ha ha. Yes, it is. It's just helpful if I get it at the time I first start to make it, not the latest possible moment.

Poor Mr P. He'll die of thirst.

Yes. Lucky he is the cook in the house, or he'd die of hunger too.

I love the image that comes to mind when you say you can hear Mr Platypus rolling his eyes!

@JadePlatypus So, what did you have in the end to drink?
