Today is Deepavali here in India. Every nook and corner will be lit and display of fireworks seen all over. It is the sound of crackers that I detest. No amount of advice will reduce this menace both adults and children over indulging in it. I used to play this video clip when Charlie the monkey was seen on our terrace. I just wanted him to get back to the trees which he used to. He was scared of the cracker sound. . Happy Deepavali!!
hey guys....for all those who missed the celebrations this diwali i have a home made diwali crackers ( rockets) video...enjoy...a very happy diwali

Fascinated that you call it Deepavali when we know it here as Diwali. Is that a dialect difference for different parts of the country?

@salonga It is too loud in cities and I just hate the noise. I do not mind fire works per se.

It is traumatic for animals specially dogs but there is nothing one can do to eliminate this nuisance.

@allknowing Dogs were the ones I was thinking of. They have no way of knowing what's going on.

Wow, it's like a seen on my special day. By the way, my birthday is on New Year's Eve. Everyone is happy, celebrating with the family, and many fireworks can be seen all over the places.

We've just had our bonfire night (which is not a religious festival), and there were fireworks going off nearly all night. Poor dogs.

You can say that again about dogs. But Preiti does not seem to mind.

I love fireworks, although the noise can really upset some people and animals.
