Immature People At Work: Some People Never Grow up!

I have been working in the finance department for nearly 8 months now and I have been suprised to see that even as adults, people can still be petity and imature. For instance one of my work mates has stopped talking to my other work mate despite them being close a few months ago. Nothing happened to warrant such an act, instead my work mate that is being ignored states that she was being used by the person in question for car lifts home, and now that she has a car of her own she no longer needs her. Some people don't grow up and I expect people to be more friendly and respectable as adults instead of falling out over non existence reasons. What are your thoughts on this matter? There is nothing to warrant for the two falling out and one person ignoring the other person.

You are right about some people never growing up. Some seem to have no manners at all. It is much nicer if people can just get along with each other.

I know right! I don't get why people don't get along when there is no real reason not too.

It must be pretty uncomfortable to work with them.

I know, people should be more friendly and respectful, but too many never grow up.

It is strange, as it is not hard to be friendly and get along with everyone at work.

Its pretty immature, i hate the smell of these persons moving with me. Never do anything for them from now on as they would find its worth. Its even best to have a lone companion who is going to be with on all your times.

@gudheart It can be hurting, but if you keep thinking about it you will only add insult to injury. It better to move on.

I get along with everyone, but if I find someone ignoring another person I don't understand. I get if they don't want to hang out outside of work, but they once were close and now all of a sudden are not.

Such people are present everywhere around the world!! It happens once in my office, that a colleague of mine got angry from another one just because she ate her lunch alone and did not ask her to accompany her

Oh, that's awful. First to use a person like that, then to admit it out loud. It's selfish as well as immature.

Yup i have immature people at my work as well so I know how it is. I try not to become to friendly with them all because there's alot of back stabbers as well. I just come in do my work and then leave.

so she was only a friend while there was a lift in a car for her - how nice. (not!) Friendship should be unconditional

It happened to me, I just couldn't get why she did it. But the way I look at it, my life is better without hypocrite in it.
