weather affecting mood

Not in a mood to do much

Its been raining non stop for three days,. Its cold and depressing out here. I am really in no mood even to write online. I always thought that the weather didn't affect me too much.. but it seems it does, I just figured it out now. I tried doing some painting, but the paint won't dry fast enough. I tried some crafting, but my back hurts in this kind of weather.. Last night we even went out for dinner.. its didn't do much for my mood. I was just too sleepy after that.. Finally I took out all my seed trays and planted a whole lot of flower seeds. Maybe seeing them sprout would do my mood some good. I love watching plants grow up. Do you get bogged down by the weather? What do you do to feel better?

I am affected most severely by hot weather, hot and humid weather renders me unable to function beyond sitting in front of the AC.

@Rollo1 Its seem like the cold weather is now making me unable to function properly. Its the main that puts me off.. I am a child of the sun.

We are sitting with no rain, water restrictions have started. But, I could imagine that 3 days of rain is a bit much. I read, or listen to music or do crossword puzzles.

Rainy, dreary days like that can get everyone in some kind of mood. They usually make me 'lazy', and all I wanna do is curl up with a good back and veg out. Actually that is 90% of the time exactly what I do.

@sofssu Well, I never said, 'bed'. I usually curl up on the sofa, with a book in hand.

Then sit down and do nothing and you would get the same amount accomplished..

Our November is warm and beautiful. When the cold will come I will stay close to the fireplace reading or painting.

@LadyDuck I don't mind dry and cold, this wet, clammy, cold is getting me down. But I guess your kind of temperatures really need you to stay close to the fire place.

I would suggest maybe a natural lighting light bulb somewhere in your home, and some vitamin D!

Weather does affects our mood. However, until and unless it is extreme weather conditions, my mood doesn't get affected.

@sofssu - Yes, if it has been raining for last ten days and there is no change in the weather, it could be called as an extreme weather and certainly this kind of weather could make us feel depressed. We do hope that Sun God is listening to you and he will come out sooner than later.

@salonga I wish I could have some fire burning here. We have no fire place or provision for that.. Maybe I should just get an electric heater. Its not so cold..but the rain seems to drain out my energy and zest for life.

I do agree that the weather can make a person depressed, especially when itis raining and gloomy outside. That is what it is doing here in Oregon, is raining. We do need some rain, but I hope not to much that water is left standing. That is the way it does here in Oregon, as it will start and not stop for days.

@sofssu We are supposed to get heavy rain this weekend, so expect it will rain and not stop, and there will be water standing. I don't like that, but it does happen when it rains like crazy.

@rosekiss Our houses seem to be floating islands at the moment .. i guess there is a blockage in the rain drains.. They are clearing it as I can see now, I hope more rain doesn't hinder their work.

@rosekiss oH no.. so you've been rained out too. Hope you feel better. Last night it stopped raining and I was so happy/..but the weather man says there will be more rain for days to come. That means more water logging.

Usually we experience a lot of dark days full of rain in November, but this year hasn't been so. I do not like those dark wet days either.

The weather can affect my mood and I always am happier on bright sunny days. I hate winter when it's cold, snowy and gets dark so early.

@Missmwngi Just a day of rain makes you feel that way.. I guess we will have a few more days of rain lefty.. Its been ten days since its started raining.. but there breaks in between. Now its only water all around.

Mostly the weather doesn't affect me too much unless it's so hot or so cold that I can't function properly. But it doesn't seem to affect my mood.

I think the weather tells us when we need to get some much needed rest. My moods are affected by the weather at times. How I wish I could just stay home on hot and humid days.
