Computers are Frustrating

Okay, just another thing that is going to turn me away from procrastinating and move towards working on my novel. I hate computer problems. I was in the middle of playing Candy Crush on Facebook when it booted me out and told me I had to log in again. When I tried it said my computer needed cleaning and I had to download F-Secure. There was no option. You have to download it. I called my daughter who knows some computer tech guys. She said that some people have downloaded the F-Secure and have still been unable to log into Facebook. My daughter suggested downloading another browser like Firefox. I opted to go back to Internet Explorer. I don't like it but at least I got on Facebook that way. I'm hoping this thing will go away by itself, which I doubt. Has anyone here been experiencing this problem? And do you know how to fix it? I get so frustrated with this crap.

Something similar happened to me. It was saying I had a Trojan virus. Vince was able to get rid of the problem but he had to clear cookies and something else to do it. I don't understand it all so I hand it all over to Vince. Most times he is able to sort it.

@patgalca I hope it doesn't cost you too much. Viruses are such a pain.

@LadyDuck I was using IE to play games on Facebook last night and it just kept freezing up on me. I have no trouble with Chrome or Facebook or anything else on my old laptop or my desktop.

I wish I could help you, but I have never heard of F Secure before. But now I have the heads up on it.

I don't think the pop up is from Facebook. Give your computer a good clean out with CCleaner or another anti-virus. Uninstall Chrome, then reinstall it fresh after you run the cleaner.

@Rollo1 That didn't work, neither did any scans I did.

I usually use Safari, if I'm on our iPad, or Chrome if I'm on my husband's computer. I'm not familiar with non apple products.
