Mailed Off Most My Christmas Gifts Today

What a relief to be ahead of things this holiday season. Not only are nearly all my gifts bought and wrapped, but today I mailed off the ones that are going to the East Coast. I wouldn't have mailed them this early, but I had promised to mail a saddle that belongs to one of our California daughters to our Delaware daughter, whose in-laws own a large farm. So, since I was mailing the saddle, I threw in the gifts, too. It's so nice to have that chore taken care of! I've including a photo of some of the Christmas decorations at my local mall. December is looking pretty good!

I wish I could say that our Christmas shopping was done. We just found out that we have to move to Wisconsin during Thanksgiving and our time will be used to pack.

Oh, no! I know how stressful it is to move during the holidays. I used to be a Realtor and saw many people have to do it.

@DeborahDiane Hopefully we may be able to stay. We got some good news on Friday night and will have to wait until Monday for more information.

That's great you got some mailed off already. I need to start wrapping as my closet is getting pretty full already and no more place to put gifts and i'm not finished yet. I haven't been to our malls recently so not sure what they look like yet.

Wrapping is always a huge job! I got lucky and was shopping at Macy's when they were doing free gift wrapping for one day. That really helped!

@DeborahDiane That must have saved you loads of time as they are so quick and efficient! As long as you remember who all the wrapped things are for, or do you label them same time?

That is good news. Hope the saddle wasn't too heavy for mailing.

No, they were able to mail the saddle, although it was expensive. However, it was far cheaper than buying another saddle for the daughter who wanted it.

Wow , you really are an organized person . Because the recipients are a bit far , it is indeed imperative that we have to make an allowance of the time it will be in the mail. Your daughters are so lucky to have you as their mom.

so organized - impressive to be able to post a saddle - not something I'll ever send or receive by mail

@arthurchappell - Our daughter on the West Coast does not need it any longer; the parents of our son-in-law on the East Coast live on a farm. We thought this beautiful saddle should be with our daughter on the East Coast.

Ha Ha! I didn't know how else to get the saddle to the other side of the country. Our daughter who lives there will be able to use it more than the daughter who lives here.

Yes, I am so relieved to have it finished. I have a few small items to mail other places, but the worst of it is behind me.
