How long can you hold

There is so much going on around & you are tested everytime when something or the other happens. It is easily said than done to control the anger. I often come across people who at times get under my skin & really test my patience. When this occurs i always try to keep my cool. Things are very disturbing at times that you bend & break beyond the threshold level. There is a lot of exploration going on in my mind to find new way to conquer what is supposed to be an very bad evil. I hope as i get older my tolerance level will be better. How long will you be patient before succumbing to anger??

I used to get angry very fast.. years ago.. I worked on learning to control my anger for a couple of years I should say .. I choose my battles now.. I am in control.. I don't let others push my buttons. The other day some one said something mean.. I just responded how kind of you thank you and god bless. That stopped the person in her tracks.

@everloving Avoidance is only a momentary escape.. when you live with someone like that its better to learn to respond only to the times they speak to you rationally, play deaf at other times.. or just use a head phone or ear plugs to stop getting irritated. Don't let them know that they have the keys to your emotions. I know it is tough.. it doesn't come over night.

Well said. Avoidance is the best way to control anger, but certain things are so hurting that it is only making us to react. What do you if you live with a person who is capable of pulling your leg on every possible ocassion

It depends on what has happened before I guess. I tend to only stress out if it's been issue after issue all day long.

@everloving Sometimes I am grumpy, I'm sure my wife would agree. I think what you have to remember is you shouldn't take out your frustration on other people who have done nothing wrong. I think it is called "kick the cat syndrome"

I am patient but there are times when I can crumble if I really need the information.

Oh yes, it has happened for me as well. We take it for granted & feel deceived by the situation.

When it is a matter of a general discussion or a person's personality being irriitating, I never lose my cool. But if someone accuses me of something that I din do or questions me when I am not wrong, that is when my cool just goes off immediately

This is exactly what i was talking about, When you get accused for the thing which you did not do (or) blamed for every action of yours.

I think it depends on the situation. Sometimes I can go without getting angry, and then it happens on a moment's notice.

Hi, there is no definite way to avoid anger and sadly, one can only control this primal emotion over countless practice. I am not immune to this human impulse myself and I could recall countless situations where if given the chance, I would have dealt with differently. But as they say, we are but human and over time, we learn to control our emotions and with this, we become better individuals. What I could impart is that I always avoid situations that would likely trigger my anger and just always think before act. I know this doesn't take effect at all times. But life is a cycle, there's always other chances to be better,
