Greetings from bed

I woke up over an hour ago. I woke up freezing. So I turned on my little electric fireplace and decided to write a few posts on my tablet in bed while I warmed up under my covers.
Now I don't want to get out of bed!
The weather here has been slowly dropping into the 40s (Fahrenheit). I'm to frugal to turn on my heater because I don't like the gas bill that comes with it. So I'll turn on my electric fireplace long enough to get the crisp out if the air.
I do have a roommate, but she's never here, so it's usually just me that I have to please. And I'm fine with being a little cold. That's what blankets are for, right.
How cold is it where you are? Do you have your heater on yet or am I the only cheap one?

Greetings back to you from bed! I had hernia surgery yesterday, so I am confined to bed for the next few days while I recover! So, I am laying here snuggled under my blankets as well!

I hate being cold and I have all sorts of things to keep me warm. I have a pellet stove in my living room fireplace. All I have to do is keep the hopper filled with pellets and push a button to turn it on and warm up the room quickly. I have an electric blanket that I turn on at night to warm up my bed. I also have a neck wrap that I put in the microwave and then put it on my neck and back or sometimes on my feet. And I have two portable heaters to warm up the bathroom before I take my shower or to warm up my another room quickly.
