Feeling very loved this evening, my husband has been working hard all day in his IT job, but he decided he wanted to cook for me, so as soon as he finished work he walked up to the local asda and bought ingredients to cook me a meal. He wanted it to be a secret, but as we have kids and I needed access to the kitchen it was unfortunately not possible.
However I am very excited as he is cooking me steak (he can cook steak to my idea of perfection), he has made stuffed mushrooms, homemade chips and sticky sweet onion and garlic asparagus. The smell coming from the kitchen right now is amazing.
I am very lucky to have such a loving, caring, helpful and good husband.
What is your favourite meal? What things make you feel loved? Do you do anything special once in a while with loved ones? Do you plan or is it spur of the moment?

I thought you title was a cry for help from a roasting pan at first, but it appears that you are in no danger of being cooked. I am the only one who cooks here. I suppose I like it that way because I really don't trust the others to wash their hands very scrupulously.

Your husband is so sweet. In fact sometimes cooking can release the working stress. Especially you will feel happy since the people who you love enjoy your dishes. My husband can cook. Ocassionally when I am too tired in the morning and I will ask him to make the breakfast. He always thinks his cooking is well but I can only say the food is just OK. But he is really good at cutting the food well like the chef. This is why I like to ask him to help me cut the vegetables.

What a great treat.. food usually tastes better when someone else prepares it... and this sounds delicious, though with a lifelong 'veggie' as a hubby, mine may be a little different
