Pay it forward is when someone has done an act of kindness for you, such as pay for your meal, fixed your flat tire, pay toll for the person behind you, buy them a cup of coffee and so forth. When someone show you an act of kindness you Pay It Forward by doing an act of kindness for someone else.
Most times you will not even know someone has done something for you until you go to pay your bill. It has a ripple effect of random acts of kindness, thats what our world needs more! My daughter and her family of five just recently had their meal pay for in a restaurant ! I love this concept, lets go and Pay It Forward!
There is now a National Pay It Forward day, the next one is Thursday April 28,2016 is next National Pay It Forward day!

Helping each other is normal the only difference being sometimes we get pleasant surprises.

@Margielynn
It certainly seems that way as you can be very down when it happens and it makes you feel good about yourself again.

@judyev we do not have a lot of money, but we do have a big heart! Sometimes it can be the smallest of things that will make a persons day a little bit brighter!

Very true it could be something as small as a smile or just helping a person with their groceries.

@jaboUK yes I agree, it is a very unselfish thing to do and the giver is rewarded as much has the one given to!

We try to do that as often as possible but there are just some people who are plain selfish and on occasion ruin a good thing for everyone else when they abuse it. My wife would donate from her thrift shop to families in need but there have been a few times she got scammers with sob stories who later she found out they had taken the merchandise and sold it for cash. However we still try to do it from time to time when we can.

@Margielynn I guess its just the way things are there are always going to be those people we just have to get better at finding out their true intentions before they take advantage. The majority shouldn't have to pay for the mistakes of the few.

Sometimes those paybacks come in ways we barely notice sometime! Myself I take too many things for granted. Just expecting things are going to happen like they should! Have a great weekend Wendy!

I do think it is something we should do on a regular basis and we shouldn't need a special day to make us do something nice for someone.

It is not well-know in Philippines. My husband paid the food of a lady in front of him. She was shocked and have this question in her eyes. Haha. When my husband gave her the random act of kindness card, she took it and still cannot believe it.

last year, i went to starbucks drive thru and it was one of those weird ones where it was hard to know if it was my turn to turn in or someone else's. i went & then i felt guilty like i cut the other person off. i wasn't sure if i did or not. anyway, because i felt bad for something i may or may not have done, i told the barista i would buy their coffee. i hope they appreciated it. no one has done this to me, but i have had much kindness showed me
