My son has exams soon however I am finding it very difficult to get him to focus and study.
Once I am around he will but as soon as I turn my back he is idling again . Whenever I give him something to do and check on him later, I find out it is still undone.
I am a very busy parent however I make the time when it comes on to school work. I get very agitated and angry when his work doesn't get done properly. Most times I thing I get too angry.
I knw my child's potential so I knw what he is capable of.
Can anyone give me some tips I can use to get him to focus??
It takes a village to raise a child...

You are not the only parent who has this problem. This is why some parents like my niece, she will sacrifice going to her job just to concentrate on teaching her kids whenever it is necessary. Because if left alone, they will not study.

Tell me about it. I keep showing him the positives but the boy just won't pick up the book.

@Realtalk6 I think you should be more patient with your child. Tell him in a nice way why he should study, the good things in store for him if he will study hard. I don't mean rewards, rewards are okay but let him know what is ahead of him. Tell him the comparison between a person who was unable to go to school and is poor and someone who finished his studies and has good job and earning well. Also remove any distractions from him, like gadgets, tv and the likes. Also watch what you feed him. Junks and this include too much sweets and fats affect a person's ability to concentrate.

Appropriate incentives to make him do his studying. Try not to pressure him too much.

I try not to pressure him too much, Steve I do offer incentives. I just wished he would take up his book and study the way other kids in his class does. Well I am going to keep motivating him, hopefully he will just surprise me one day.

Maybe you can try making study interesting and rewarding him for work well done

I do reward him, but everyday it's a struggle. I have to be behind him to study or nothing will get done.
