What are your online earning goals?

Let's face it. Most of us are on sites like mylot not just for the social interaction, but for the cash as well. I have been earning money online since 2003 when i discovered the whole concept. I have obviously refined my process over the years. and every 6 months or so completely redesigned my strategy because sites go under, change terms etc. But one thing never changes in this ebbing sea, my goal.
My goal with all of my online earnings is freedom from debt. I have been on a mission for about four years now that i like to call "The Ten Million Pennies Project". Long story short: I had roughly $100,000 dollars in debt (cars/home/cards) when I started this project. I have made pretty good progress, but things could always be better.
Where things sit today, i am roughly 24% done with my goal and closing it faster than ever. Right now, if i can keep up my monthly goals which are pretty conservative, i should be paid off by April 2018.
My online earnings are a very small chunk of this goal, but a part none the less. Every cog, no matter its size plays a part.
So here's to our online earnings!
What are you earning online for? Is it something extra, something necessary or just because?

That is great! My online earnings have paid for many little things over the years. For about 7 months they kept my twins in diapers. I can't complain at all. Best of luck with the sale and the move. I plan to put my place up for sale not long after i pay it off and do a few little renovations to raise the value.

Ryan, Welcome to Mylot! I remember you from Gather and Bubblews. How are your kids? Last I knew your wife was going to have twins! I'm sure they've been born by now... how are they? My twins turn 13 this Thursday!!
As for your question... I am also on a mission to get out of debt. Not so much with cars and house.. but with old collection debts. I've got about $7,000 to pay off. After just a few months that number has dropped by about $400.
So far I haven't decided what to do with my Mylot money. It used to just get added to our account and used wherever. Last month when I made payout it was added to an account we no longer use, because that's what Paypal is connected to, and it's just sitting there. I was thinking of waiting until I have enough money to send a payment towards a debt, or put it into my savings account, or it can sit and accumulate where it is and be used for something else later down the road.
From whatever other sites I use I tend to get Amazon cards and use that for shopping or renting videos to watch.

@bobo2500 Wow! A year old already, time sure does fly! And how old is Noah now? He was like 2 or 3 last I knew, so he must be at least 4?
That is what I've done, paid the smallest debts first and worked up. I have paid off 3 debts so far, but I've still got some big ones to work on. We'll get there eventually, we've only been at it a few months, and now with Christmas season upon us our bill paying is going to slow down a little so we can free up some cash for gifts... which I'm half way done with already.

Good to see you too! The twins are nearly a year old now lol, time goes quick doesn't it?
I get a lot of amazon cards as well, from swag and perk mostly. We have all of our diapers delivered from amazon so that money all offsets the costs of the kids. It works out pretty good. For a few months i didn't pay a dime of my "real" money on the kids. These days it's not quite as lucrative, but hey, every penny counts!
Best of luck paying down your debt! When i started this whole debt thing i had a few accounts like that as well. I just picked the smallest one and worked my way up from there. again, good luck!

@katsmeow1213 Yup, Noah just turned 4 on Oct 13th. I know what you mean about things slowing down on the bill front this time of year. All 5 of our birthdays and Christmas fall within about 3 months time lol. It is an expensive time of year.

I may not be earning gigantic sum from my online earnings but what little I get is a great help on my monthly household budget. Since we are paid in US$ I benefit on the currency exchange against our currency which has depreciated against the strong dollar.

To be honest I am not here to make friends. That is a added benefit. I am here to make money first. I prioritize as to how much and how quit I can make money on a site to just being able to make some money at some point. And I utilize my time online accordingly.

I have a feeling you're not alone in that way of thinking. Probably in the majority. It helps me that i already know so many of these people from other sites. I keep up with many of them on facebook anyway, so now we can get paid for it too!

It's pretty much something that you let the bank just keep growing.

I'm new to myLot. As I think about my reasons for joining, the prospect of earning a bit of money certainly played a part - I wouldn't be here without it. But, on the other hand, I don't expect to make enough here to significantly impact my life in any noticeable way. I think the earnings figures are more a way of keeping score on how well I'm doing than they are a measure of how rich I'm becoming.

I think for me, it is just because. I enjoy interacting with people, and throwing my opinions out there every once in a while. Its just fun.
