The death penalty should be a thing everywhere

Ok ok i know what are you thinking: "You can't fight violence with violence or death with other death" BUT, follow my thought. Let's say that someone kills another person, what's the punishment? In most of the countries it would be jail, a jail lasting few years or upon death Would you rather know that the guy who killed your daughter can't harm anymore or know that that guy will be still free after some years? Oh and keep in mind that, depending on your country, you pay to maintain those people in jails. You pay what they eat, drink and use.

The counter arguments are mostly twofold - one, no matter what the crime a person may be able to 'change their ways' and two, sometimes there are miscarriages of justice... Interesting topic.

I am a bleeding heart so I would feel for everyone. I don't know how many cases are now miscarriages of justice since DNA evidence is so accurate. I haven't seen any cases where people change, just circumstances. As far as the criminal system, maybe they should use the prisoners for more labor and give them less "privilege". As far as the whole world going blind, I hear that other senses improve. Maybe that will include common sense. The reality is no matter how much you want people to be good without consequence how will they learn? All actions have consequences whether manmade or made from the action.

Also keep in mind, if it is a jail in the US it is nicer than some hotels here. I respect the different religions so hopefully this will apply to all and just not Christians. "An eye for an eye" comes to mind. I am not sure where some of you live talking about your jails, but for the most part jail is nicer than camps except there is no swimming pools. My husband was a former corrections officer. The inmates had time outside in the "yard", they could workout anytime even in their cells, they had a television. So it was a warm place in winter, cool in summer, three square meals that were better than what some prepare, television, internet, and library privileges. The place sounds like a vacation getaway.

What you say is true, but innocent people can be killed by the state and miscarriages of justice are, unfortunately, quite common
