What do you say? I think we should call a moratorium on immigration. These people are getting into countries along with the immigrants. They are even using their passports. We need to nip this in the bud. Trump wants to go bomb them. In anger I agree but, they are already firing on Syria and killed two leaders yesterday. Some how these killers got a lot of their equipment through security at the airport. How did that happen? They are using encrypted communication to keep in connection with one another. We need to be doing something else because what we are doing isn't working.

And if we call a moratorium on immigration, they'll still figure out a way to get in to carry out whatever plans they may have. I don't think it's going to do more than harm those who are truly fleeing for their lives when they immigrate. Terrorists aren't going to let a bit of inconvenience deter them.

Perhaps but the harder we make it for them the better. We need to be able to govern what we have here without any new ones added to the mix.

the danger is that many racists will now start victimising the many genuine refugees fleeing from terrorism in their own countries

This was the mistake that Europe made and now the continent is flooded with unknown people. Accepting refugees into the country is the right thing to do, but Europe chose to allow vast numbers over the borders unmonitored. With so many having no documentation whatsoever, it is impossible to know whether you are welcoming a refugee or a terrorist.

@celticeagle Hungary was the only country to apply a sensible approach to attempt to help refugees without discarding security. They closed the borders and began allowing people through in small numbers so that they could be processed before allowing them to travel further. The refugees smashed down the barriers and forced their way into Hungary, so were repelled with tear gas, which to my surprise was criticised by the rest of Europe. Croatia then opened their border, but when they forced their way across the border the country did not attempt to stop them because they were afraid of being criticised as Hungary was. Thousand then flooded into Europe unmonitored.

@merihim ...Small amounts so they can keep control is smart. The passports could belong to other refugees. A sick statement I would think.

@celticeagle The traficants here help them cross the border and go to Germany from here they even offer fake new passports so I wont be surprised to see that the passports that were found are fake.

So far, two of the Paris terrorists have turned out to be "refugees" and one of them was actually rescued at sea from a sinking boat! There's no vetting process, no system to make sure that people really are refugees. It's time to close all borders.

I keep using this same word over and over, corruption. Greed, and a lust for power, have let some sinister people be in charge of things they have no business being in charge of. Step one, contain, and if that means closing boarders fine. Step two stop being greedy and do something about the abuse of power. Or, what will more likely happen, we can just go ahead with WW3.

I think we are in the beginning of WW3. I agree with what you have said. It is scary to think of ISIS too because they aren't even organized and yet look at the arms, training and money they have been able to compile and utilize. This isn't the end. They have admitted that their next targets are London, Rome and Washington.

@celticeagle the Pope himself said that WW3 has begun. That's a terrifying thought. This will be the first world war fought everywhere in the world. Terrorists could be anywhere. I'm still gonna Cary on, and never give up, though.

I felt that the refugees should be treated sensibly as presented by some of the respondents here. Closing the borders do not solve anything but increases the risks of infiltration of ulterior motive individuals like the terrorists in IS. Consulates should open their doors and let these refugees undergo the necessary security screening process so as to avoid the infiltration of extremist groups and individuals. Have a humanitarian evacuation plane with security clearance ready to evacuate and once they arrive in the respective countries quarantine facilities will be ready for further screening and scrutiny. In this scenario, the risks are being reduced and enhances the survival rate for all. Countries all over the world will share the burden of housing and providing for these people with manageable amounts. Then there will not be overcrowding in certain countries, the UN council should sit down and address the number management issues at every meeting. Commitment must be cast in stone and made ready when the situation arises.

@celticeagle Those that have ulterior agendas are not refugees and ALL countries will be at risk if it does not open its doors properly. I felt that there must be a place for these refugees to be quarantined and process all over the world, When the world works and shares its resources together these numbers of refugees will be manageable. When it is manageable, these radical factions will have a harder time carrying out their acts of destruction, With so much that had happened, I think we should wonder what the meetings in UN and Humanitarian organizations are talking about as far as refugees are concern whether it be from some natural disasters or war. National security must be implemented and observed at all of these times so open door policies will take away the illegal infiltration since there are limited resources in enforcement.

@artemeis ...Where would that be? These radical factions are making it hard for the refugees. I certainly don't want them here now. They can't be trusted to be just refugees.

Closing the borders and being assured of who comes into the country by secure screening is much smarter than just letting thousands and thousands in blindly. It is time we looked at this seriously and not just like a nice country wanting to help some refugees out, cause some of these refugees seem to want to kill us.

We could close our boarders if we wanted to, but the Democrats don't want to "offend" anybody beause closing the boarders would be "polticaly incorrect", plus they want illegal immigrants votes during elections.

And shouldn't we safe guard the people here in the U.S. and not take a risk that some of these 'refugees' might be terrorists? I don't trust any of them now.

The terrorists bring stuff through the airports because they have infiltrated friends among those who load the bags. It is too late to fight them, we waited too long doing nothing.

I think what we have learned already is that border patrols and restrictions can't stop an idea from sneaking in, and that's what extremism is. Figuring out how to stop radicalization at home and abroad is surely a more important step than trying to bomb an amorphic enemy.

I agree. Enough with the visas. They are just now starting to talk about this in the government, but while they are fiddling around and telling the whole world what they might be planning, you can bet that every terrorist who was planning on coming next year, just changed his plane reservation.
